We haven't talked much about this since the earliest box art pictures debuted, but now that you've had a chance to get used to them ... what do you think of the look of Wii boxes? Does the white line across the top and the simple logo do it for you? How about the white boxes? Do you feel that the look suits the system? How does it compare to similar GameCube boxes? What about to the box art designs for the other latest consoles?Wii Warm Up: Across the top

I liked the Wii box design from day one and I still prefer it over the other systems' designs. PS3 is the big loser on box labels, IMO. But with Wii, you get this sleek curve that I think adds some interest to the box art. The 'clean white look' is starting to get cliche, but I think it really works for Wii.

Love the Wii but think the box label design is kind of weak. Looks like something a design intern threw together at the last minute. Not that it matters really, since I keep them in a drawer. But you asked.

the wii boxes are getting better. much better than any other system. we need to start embracing less of the system description on every box.
the best part are the wii cds. no huge line across it saying the system. just 'wii' randomly on it. and it makes them glorious to look at.

I like the boxes. The design is simple enough. I hope some game comes out with some limited edition metal box or inverted color scheme. or something
haha and what about this?

I love the white boxes! So fresh and so clean, clean. Sorry! It took a little while to get used to them though. At first I kept browsing into the gamecube section at the stores.

Wii box are nice because they're immediately recognizable at a glance. In the last generation, all the companies had a black bar across the top saying what system the game was for. Now, PS3 has a bar on the side, 360 has a silver bar on top, and Wii has a white bar on top with a distinctive shape.
It's not the most beautiful design in the world, but it's not ugly either, and it's very functional.

i think that nintendo went with the apple design which pretty much give the product a simple clean look that apparently sells since both companies are loving life right now.

I like the design of the Wii software boxes...the white bar the the top is OK, but I love the white boxes...they 'POP' off the shelves the stores...much better than the GC/PS2/XBOX boxes last gen. Those all looked too similar from the front...the spine was better, but only because the GC ones had the logo at the bottom.
The disc art itself is OK...I would like to see some that use more color. Most of the games I have seen so far are 1 or 2 color prints (i.e. Zelda is Gold on White (2 color), or even a better use of the disc itself as a 'color'.

When they started driving the "Wii is different" message through, I anticipated something funky in the box design. The logo is comparitively small and out of the way, and in the right corner, instead of on the right side or centered across the top. It makes me smile, and I find it comfortably different than the other systems and last generations boxes. I immediately recognized the box's intent to maximize the emphasis on the game and take away from the system logo (although i admit PS3 also seems to attempt this).

I would personally like to see smaller boxes. The disk's aren't that big, and with the Wii being as small as it is, I would only see it would be fit to have a slightly smaller box. I like the size of the PS3 box, but I would much rather see it white, with a Wii logo. I think smaller boxes would fit nicely with the system.

I don't like the fact that literally half of the back of the box is taken up in "Warnings" and "Attentions" in english, spanish, and french, when such space could be used in, you know, actual box art.
