Which of these two recently-announced
Steven Spielberg games would you want to play?
- an action-puzzle simulator that "neatly blends the creativity of the building-blocks game Jenga with the charm of a Saturday-morning cartoon," or
- a game in which "you're an ex-secret agent, and the bond that you forge while on the run with [a] computer-controlled woman -- good, bad, indifferent -- determines the nature of her special abilities and the ways in which she'll assist you."
We hope you picked the former because that's the project
Electronic Arts and the famed director plan to bring to the Wii! The other title -- the one which
Newsweek's N'Gai Croal described as "yet another hit" from Spielberg -- is headed for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Expounding on the Wii action-puzzle sim, code-named
PQRS, Spielberg explained, "It just seemed like a great thing for the entire family to play together over Christmas." We bet you can't wait for Christmas!

Easy - get a PS3 or Xbox 360 if you want it. This is how it will be. All the big third party games will hit PS3 and Xbox 360. Wii will get a small subset of the standard yearly sport game updates and TV/Movie licence games (as long as PS2/PSP versions are made) and an odd relatively low budget exclusive like EA Boogie.

They both sound like game ideas from Douglas Coupland's book, jPod.
Only, I'd rather play BoardX with Jeff the Turtle than either of those.

This is what the Wii is for, Family games and casual games. The Jenga game is probabbly for a wider audience.. the later is only for the hardcore. That's the way it goes.

The Wii is on top of the world, and the games will keep coming. These are just little bumps in the road, but the road is still going straight up through the stratosphere.

Interesting. A Jewish man acknowledges that late December is the Christmas season, but Allah forbid anyone else refer to that time as anything other than "Holiday".
