We don't have to tell you that we're excited for Samus' upcoming adventure on the Wii. We do have to tell you how excited the latest trailer from E3 makes us feel, though. It's a lot like running from the police in a high speed car chase. You rarely have time to blink and you're so scared of dying from the situation that you wet your pants. August 27th cannot come soon enough!
Check past the break for the live demonstration trailer from Nintendo's keynote.

Who on earth watches someone play Metriod Prime, of all the games to sit beside someone while they play, let alone two people..

Samus's left arm looks oddly long and skinny in the first-person views.

I'd almost go to say (FLV quality and hardware resolution aside) that this looks close-to/on-par with yesterday's Halo3 trailer.
And if anyone's wondering, the reason they aren't using the Zapper in this is because of the amount of non-shooting interaction with the world in Prime.

Finally, a company is utilizing what the Wii CAN REALLY DO!!! I'm not just talking about the Wii's innovative controller and how it will revolutionize FPS/FPA; but instead the Wii's graphical capabilities which according to several Nintendo execs is about 2-3x the power of the GCN(which is like 3-4x a PS2 or 1.5-2.3x an XBOX)!!!

To be fair the 360 is estimated to be 5-6x the power of the XBOX; and Sony claims (somewhere along with 7 controllers ports and 3 HDMI etc) that the PS3 is 10x the power of a 360!!! But both systems run on either 720p or the much exhaulted 1080p; which Wii can never hope to achieve!!! However, for it's capabilities the Wii and it's games looks absolutely gorgeous on 480p if enough time and care spent on graphics!!!

@8 oni-link:
A) Be careful with numbers thrown around by the marketing department.
B) The Wii is definitley capable of 720p and 1080i at the least (So were the PS2 and Xbox1). However, Nintendo decided that there weren't enough HD TV sets in the field yet to justify supporting full-on HD in an "everyone" console.

I still don't see why they don't embrace the higher definition, though
At least to negate scaling jaggies on HDTV's. 540p would be enough to do that

No Zapper.
But still looks good.
Trailer had me turned off a bit - with ways too much stuff - what is very characteristic to modern console self-proclaimed "shooter". I'm getting bored by all those driving/swimming/surfing/jumping sections some claim make shooters "better" somehow.
Second movie looked OK. Shooting. More shooting. And even more shooting. All done with weemote. And the action on screen didn't looked clumsy - compared to actions on all other consoles with classical controller. The *girl* moved and shoot pretty naturally - unlike all those clumsy GeOW/Halo demos from uber-leet profis on Xbox360.
Love or hate it - but this is how FPS should be played. [ Microsoft! Sony!! if you read this: We want FPS controller!!! I personally wouldn't buy Xbox360/PS3 until such controller is introduced. Period. Wii sucks. But I still love (and play) it. ]
Anyway, I would buy MP3:C and I would try it.
