It's been a while since we've seen images from BWii, and while these new shots are long on artwork, there are a couple of screens in there. Now we just need some new video footage so we can see what's up. We'd also love to see some more detail on how this one is coming along, since it's slated for a fall release and we haven't seen much yet ... like the online multiplayer modes. Guess we'll just have to trust for now that things are all good on the battlefield.

Sadly enough the E3 updates brought with them a 1 month delay
effectively cannibalizing the game's sales (at least in my case, and probably a few others, its too close to Galaxy and NiGHTS 2 now)

I agree with Mr Kahn.
I just hope they work on the online components a bit more, and possibly include voice chat somehow.
Now the games on queue are: BWii, Galaxy, Fire Emblem, Smash Bros, possibly Trauma Center 2...
Its a tight schedule, and it leaves september and most of October basically empty.

I never played BW, but this title has definitely piqued my interest. The screenshots look absolutely fantasic.

This was one of those "they'll announce it at E3 along with a head-set peripheral for voice chat" titles. Didn't happen.
Hopefully it does have voice chat – I mean the freaking DS can do it, all we need is a damn peripheral. Or at the very least, quick voice commands. Older squad-based PC FPS titles performed fine online without voice chat (eg, Wolfenstein Enemy Territory) so it's not all of a sudden a 'do-or-die' option.

This is one of the games on my short list. The developer site said the game was slated for an early '07 release, which made me think it was mostly done. I'm hoping that it's waiting on the online backend infrastructure and/or for Nintendo to release their BIG online launch title.
But if there was no demo or gameplay being shown off at E3, that makes me worried. I hope it's not being "feature-creeped" (online play, and voice commands (via an unreleased mic), and use the Balance Board, and keyboard support, and LAN play, and...).

P.S. LAN play would be awesome. Bring back XBox's System Link. Every Wii has Wi-Fi. How hard can it be to get a few Wiis to form an ad hoc network. Online is nice, but local LAN is good, too.
