We remember when US-released Dance Dance Revolution games had no licensed music whatsoever, filling their track lists with selections from in-house Konami artists. We soon learned to get over the lack of Captain Jack in our home games; and, in fact, grew to appreciate the work of Konami's composers, especially when they started putting music from other Konami games into rotation.
Now that music games are actually popular, Konami can afford to license some recognizable music, which means that your Hottest Parties will be accompanied by appropriately hot music, including the tracks named by Siliconera's Spencer Yip. During his time with the game at E3, he wrote down all the track titles he could. Highlights include C&C Music Factory's Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now), Dead or Alive's You Spin Me Round (Like A Record), and, of course, New Order's Blue Monday, the in-game remix of which had better be shortened significantly.

DDR would be perfect with the Wii. Still, I don't think there are really any ways why it would actually be better on the Wii, as I'm not exactly sure how motion sensitivity would play in it.

I'm still skeptical about how this will work out for the Wii. Anyhow, I want more Captain Jack! But the songlist isn't too bad.

I'm sure they will have an option to not use the hand gestures and just play traditionally. But i'm all up for a little added difficulty of the wii-mote.

God damn... I think DDR really needs to die. It's just inexcusable how we get covers all over the place and Japan gets original DDR songs. I-It just needs to die.
No one I know here appreciates the endless amounts of covers Bemani has in their US releases, and I'll be damned after seeing this list will I ever buy this mix. Letting alone the fact I retired from DDR anyway because of the AAA crowd at local arcades here in PA. Tourneyfags ruin the fun for everyone. I'm talking about Melee tourneyfags too.

There are a few songs I like (Blue Monday, Clocks, I Don't Feel Like Dancing) but a lot of songs listed I pretty much hate... mtv owning harmonix ruined ddr.

to me this list looks awesome
I am definitely getting this on release, esp since I have never owned a DDR home version before, and the prospect of 4 players is damn nice too!!

MTV and Harmonix have absolutely nothing to do with Dance Dance Revolution. Konami makes the games.

Don't complain because people are better than you. There's always a bigger fish.

Ughhh, please tell me I'm not the only one who really hates the fact that instead of the distinctly DDR-feel music that Konami usually made in-house (coughNAOKIcough) they're moving more towards just trying to put in new, popular songs. I loved the DDR series, a lot for hearing new, different music in each release. (Okay. Maybe not new, since MAX300 has been in every release since MAX just about.)
I dunno, playing DDR to more modern, contemporary music just doesn't feel right.
Also, @6: Sorry that people actually love playing these games, and trying to become better than they already are. I used to play DDR avidly as a "AAA crowd" member, as you might say. I also still participate in SSBM tournaments regularly. Don't complain just because you have no drive to actually practice and find the true depth and difficulty of these games.
