Have you slapped a skin on your Wii, or thought about it? We found ourselves browsing some skinning sites and wondering if we might want to cover up the pure, smooth whiteness of the new console and finally decided against it ... at least, for now. But that's just us. This sweet set of controller skins could get us to change our minds, though -- especially at the low price of five dollars. What about you?Wii Warm Up: Skinning

I did. I got "Blue Flame" from www.DecalGirl.com
My brother got absolutely angry because I put decals on the GCN, DS, the Wii, and the controllers. I like it, but he hates me for it. I should got the retro NES look...
Personally, I love the skins. Really adds new colors to the boring 'white' look of the Wii. Great topic!

I like the idea of skins, but not as something permanent. I hoped the Wii would make use of faceplates for atleast the front of it, like the XBox 360 does.

Wow. All I have seen are the pink and blue covers. I'm gonna stick with the shiny white. Unless they get a Super Smash Bros. skin.

I bought and applied the retro NES skin from DecalGirl. It's a pretty cool look, and it distinguishes my Wii from other people's (a noble cause if ever there was one). But it doesn't add anything beyond that and I'll have to peel all that stuff off if I ever need to send it in for repairs, Miyamoto forbid. Ultimately, it was just a silly impulse buy.

On the console, NEVAR
I would only skin the controllers if they got stained/scratched, to hide it.

I have 4 remotes with decalgirl skins on all of them. I wanted different colored controllers, but since they're only available in white, I went with the decals. I have no plans to skin the system itself, but I really like having some variety with the remotes.

I liked the skins I bought with my Wii, however, you cannot use a Nyco Wii remote charger with them, so I found myself having to take them halfway off in order to charge, and after a month or so they got so torn up that I threw them away.

Yeah, I got "Blue Quantum Waves" and my girlfriend got "By Any Other Name" from DecalGirl. They look awesome, and they've held up amazingly well. Highly recommend her site and her product. Good stuff.

decalgirl skins are pretty good, I had a skin for my mp3 player and the sticky glue is pretty durable. The skin would only look good on the controllers for a unique look but definitely not on the system because it wouldn't be a full skin, still being able to see white everywhere.

I've got matching "Zen" skins from decal girl on my Wii and 360. It goes with the Asian theme my fiance has in the living room, so it makes her happy and I really don't care what my console looks like. I'm not picky and if making my consoles match the look she wants allows me to play "nag-free", I'm skinning my consoles! :)

I've been seriously considering getting four different color schemes of a single design for the wiimotes only. (Who cares about the nunchucks?)
Just so it's easy to differentiate between the four wiimotes I've got if we want to take a break from that heated Mario Party tourney.
Yeah... Mario Party... -There- was an investment.

I actually like skinning, at least I got a cool one for my DS phat, but I don't think I'll skin my Wii (or DS lite). It's just so sleek and smooth and perfect... I can't mar that perfect design with a sticker.
Although I did make a papercraft stick-figure Dio Brando to stand on top and perpetually scream "WIIIIII!!!!!!"
