Today's Smash Bros. Dojo update is of special interest to nerds! Even more than usual, that is. The latest assist trophy has been revealed as Devil from the NES game Devil World.
Devil World is most significant for being a Shigeru Miyamoto game that has never been released in the US. The only such game, according to Wikipedia. In the Pac-Man-style game, Devil points in the direction in which the maze is about to scroll. And that's exactly what he does in Smash Bros.-- he points, and the screen scrolls. Since falling off of the screen is such an important component of Smash Bros., Devil seems like quite a powerful assist!
As much as we love the actual gameplay of Smash Bros., it's stuff like Devil here that keeps bringing us back. Super Smash Bros. is like a living museum of Nintendo history!

I've played Devil World before. Once I bought one of those bootleg 75,000 games in one things and it had that game on there. Actually pretty fun :)

Seriously, sonic in super smash would make my day. no, my year. I've been a sega fanboy all my life, and to me mario just doesn't have the same appeal as sonic.
