I am NOT liking the new 3d look. I loved Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for its artstyle and gameplay.
From what I've heard, BT3 fixes major flaws in gameplay, but brings a nearly non-existant Wifi, and ugly 3d characters.

I never even considered watching DBZ until this summer. It was always that anime that everyone made fun of and I didn't think it could actually be any good. But then I watched it (about 50 episodes now) and I really liked it, and it was actually really funny as well. The games don't seem appealing at all though (but I've only played one of them).

Justin: I've played Dragon Ball games all across all systems, from SNES, to PS1, PS2, Gcube, GBA, DS and now Wii.
Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is one of, if not *the* best game available so far for the Wii. The game is basically the same as its PS2 counterpart, but its really the controls what made me like the game so much, and forced me to watch the DBGT ending, along with the DBZ ending, again.

Hmm... maybe I should rent it and try it out. I actually haven't rented any Wii games at all. And right now I don't really have much money so I'm only buying bigger titles... actually, only Zelda, and also Resident Wiivil 4 (haha sorry). Those are the only games I have besides CoD3 which I got for Christmas and of course Wii Sports. Not that anyone wanted to know. This post will probably be looked down upon.

I did actually read your post :P
Its definitely good for a rent, and so is Trauma Center and Super Paper Mario (which is VERY short, if you only finish the main story).
Here's a tip: You'll get frustrated by the controls. They are way too different from anything you've ever played before. You can use Gamecube pads, and Classic Controllers, but the Nunchuck+Wiimote is the reason I highly recommend the game.
You move around with the Joystiq, and if you push the Nunchuck down, while pressing Z you'll fly down, and if you push it up, you'll fly upwards.
This is really confusing at first, but you'll get the hang of it in no time.
As for specials, hold down Z and B, and picture yourself being Goku or whatever character you're using. The devs at Atari actually mimicked all of the characters special moves, so as a fan to the series, they actually feel natural (though they require you point at the screen, flaw fixed in BT3). This is a LOT easier than doing up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, start for a combo attack.
As for the Wiimote, A is for punching, B is for beam attacks. Down on the Dpad lets you defend. Timing is everything.

If it were anything like the show you'd tap buttons for about an hour and then realize you were not strong enough to beat the enemy. Then you'd have to tap buttons for another hour to train. Then fight. Then train. Then comes the two hour "battle" (button tapping) sequence. Then you beat the enemy but a new one comes. Then you do the same thing over again.

That comment tells a lot about the current game library of Wii.

WhatIsThatThing,
You made me laugh, a lot.
Nushio,
Thanks for the lowdown and I'm definitely going to rent it. The only problem is I'm going back to college in 4 days and I don't know if there's a game rental place for a hundred miles (my college is in nowhere, PA). And yeah I've also been really wanting to play Super Paper Mario. There are just so many games and not enough time to play them! And now MP3 in a week and.. though I hate to say it, I never finished the first one.

The Budokai games don't save characters between games. They do however give bonuses like extra characters.
