The look of the upcoming Resident Evil on-rails shooter, Umbrella Chronicles, has grown by leaps and bounds since we first started to see screenshots. The November release dates are fast approaching, so what we're seeing here is probably a lot of what we'll be seeing on our televisions once this hits shelves. We discussed opinions on this title back in April, and it seems like a good time to ask if you're now more (or hey, less, for the haters) excited about this one than you were back then.
We've updated the gallery with the latest screens, and the dates embedded with the images allows you to compare shots and see how things have come along since we got our first glimpses of the title. There's also a new trailer tucked away after the break for your viewing pleasure. We just love all the new trailers that surface for game conferences!

Graphics are great, but WTF is with all the "LOADING" in the middle of the screens and the horrible voice acting.
Both are annoying.

WOOHOO! That looks GOOD. Never really played RE until I played RE4 on Wii. Think I will really like this.
As explaination, I am like a veritable 'Encino Man' of gaming in that ever since about 6th grade (1996 for all you who remember when the N64 came out) I realized that 3D games made me puke. As in, pretty severe motion sickness. I bought a 64 and Mario (or rather, my grandmother did) and played through it, but I was like hung over for hours after every hour of play. Never got another game for it. Things like Ocarina looked awesome to me but I couldn't even watch for five minutes without getting dizzy. Stopped caring about games.
Flash forward to July 2006. I just wondered what was up with Nintendo, looked them up on wikipedia. Ends up the newest console was a thing called the Wii.... WOAH! This is AWESOME! I had to get one. So I tried taking Dramamine and playing my girlfriends N64 (Ocarina, to be exact) about two days after we tried it straight and I got sicker than ever. Well, after hours of gaming and lying in bed with strange swirling patterns sweeping through my mind, I was cured of my strange video-game induced motion-sickness (called 'simulator sickness' by the military, who were the first to describe artificial reality induced motion-sickness) and got on with a life of gaming.
And THAT is why I have never played Resident Evil until RE4 on Wii.

Graphics definitely look great and the game looks like a lot of fun. Definitely a rent before I buy though.

That loading in the middle of the screen is for the gun. As in you're loading the gun and it's telling you when you have. I believe they wanted it to be more realistic pumping your shotgun than shooting off screen and re-aligning your reticule.

The video looks great, but whoever is playing sucks; not a single head-shot.

"Loading" shouldn't be in the middle of the screen, then. Off to the side or something. It's very intrusive. It and the voice acting only take away from the experience.

I am so anxious, hoping this will turn out as good as it looks. I usually try not to expect too much from games to avoid being let down, but I just can't help being excited for this. Resident Evil on the Wii... with real zombies. I can't even describe how excited I am getting for this!

I agree with #7
This is without a doubt going to be a horrible game.
Just the aiming spot alone looks horrible and the graphics don't look that great to be honest. I haven't seen any sort of improvement.
Plus has anyone else noticed just how little impact there is when you shoot someone? God it looks like you're shooting blanks in the video!
Another "great" title for the Wii.
Wake me up when Nintendo starts REFUSING this mediocre crap

I notice alot of impact from shooting the zombies now, some of the old videos had the problem of hardly any bullet impact but the problem seems to be corrected now, are you guys watching a different video or something?

Oh and wake me up when ever the voice acting in a Resident Evil game isn't cheesy as hell.
I'd almost disappointed if it weren't, good voice acting is not Resident Evil.

the first time i saw this game i thought it was a remake of resident evil 0 trough 3 with the resident evil 4 engine and camera angles , in my opinion i was wishing for that since it would make those game better at least with some added bonus stuff. i believe this game is really not going to do well i terms of sales or just the fact thjat most light gun shooters are finished very fast or become boring after a while. anyway that is my opinion.
