However, given that this fansite apparently has someone at Leipzig who's been capturing teensy, blurry cellphone videos of the game in action (watch the one above at your own risk), we're inclined to believe their news. We'd be pleased to let Sega take some extra time with the game, and possibly sell it at a less content-heavy time of the year. Maybe in early 2008 it'll be able to get the attention of the horrible people who would ignore NiGHTS for Mario in November.

ah so i guess the control scheme that uses just the wiimote is IR based. I hope there is a nunchuck option to use the control stick, with the Wiimote being used for tricks/flips

I have been waiting for a NiGHTS sequel since forever. I will be bitterly disappointed if it uses the pointer as the main input device. Just let me hold the remote sideways and tilt to move. Please?

They should delay it. It won't get killed by Brawl that way.

*rubs eyes* SEGA taking more time on a game? Well damn, I don't think I've ever seen that... So... You'll have to exscuse me if I call bullshit. SEGA would sell the game if it was 50% complete... Shit, look at Sonic the Hedgehog (360/PS3), that thing mustn't even be 80% complete but they still rushed the bastard out the door in time for Christmas.

Please no
Also recall, this is Liepzig Gaming Convention, in the world of delays (except some positive attention from Nintendo recently) that is the PAL region
Although it may just be wishful thinking, however, if this DOES get pushed back, i'll just get Fire Emblem for Christmas instead
Its a good year to see a few games delayed

I hope this game gets pushed back. Its one of the more promising games for the Wii (and it's friggin' NiGHTS!), so it would be nice if it doesn't get curb stomped in sales by Mario Galaxy, Mario & Sonic and Brawl this winter.
I'd rather they push it back, polish the ever lovin' shit out of it and release in in the spring or something.

I'm sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but here goes:
Is NiGHTS considered a "girl" game?
I am new to video games (Wii is my first console, GBA SP was my first video game) and from the videos this looks like a fun game. When I showed it to my sister, she said: "Why in the world you you want to play a girly game like that?"
I know that it contains a purple and pink elf-like creature, but it still looks fun. Your opinions please (and try not to laugh)

No, it isn't.
Although, knowing what Sega has become these days, I'd say it's a safe bet they'll be turning it into a half-assed kids game, just like they've done with the Sonic series.

Umm, BTW, GBA SP isn't a videogame. It's a game system/console that PLAYS videogames.

NiGHTS is a whimsical adventure for everyone, except for men who aren't secure enough in their masculinity to play it

Okay, first of all NiGHTS isn't a girly game.
The game has 3 control methods
Classic way - Nunchuck control stick
Secret Rings Style - Tilting the Wii remote
Wiimote Style - using the IR cursor
note those names aren't official, thats just what i call em :P
that and tons more info can be found here
