European gamers hoping to play Manhunt 2 should call their Dutch friends, because if the game's coming out anywhere in Europe, it'll be there. This isn't because the Dutch government loves their games murdery, but because there's no legal way to prevent the game's sale. They can, however, prosecute people under 16 for buying or playing it.This doesn't mean that the Netherlands will get an uncut version of the game, or any version at all. It's up to Rockstar to decide if it's worth the trouble to release a different version of the game. At this point, with Manhunt 2 effectively banned in Germany and the UK, there's some question as to whether they'll release it anywhere in Europe in any form.

Long live freedom! In America, the bureaucrats go out of their way to change the laws, so they can restrict your actions. Google "Ron Paul" if you want more freedom in America, and you're sick of crap like video game censorship.

Umm.
I read somewhere that if Sony and Nintendo deny the game for their consoles, they can't rightly sell it. Is that true?

Why would they not release the game in Europe if it's just banned in two countries? It would be just stupid and absurd.
I hope most of us Europeans get to see the uncut edition because I'm not even sure whether games are bannable in most countries (unless they contain something illegal).
I hope we don't have to suffer from the stupid rating systems in USA, UK, Germany etc. PEGI (rating system used in many countries) gave the game a 18+ rating meaning it just can't be sold to minors, nothing special.

@Rocketman
i dont think they can sell a game for a console that isn't licensed by the company that made it. and nintendo/sony wont license AO games so they cant sell them

Dutch word for Manhunt is 'Mannenjacht' but 'Mensenjacht' is far less gay, no offense to gay people :).

@ Keine (#7) Actually, It's "Klopjacht"
Mannenjacht is the litereal translation and used more by women hunting for men, not hunting criminals .
So, Klopjacht 2
