While the main arena of the new WarioWare stage may look like the standard floating-platforms-over-a-flat-space template found in pretty much every new Brawl stage, it has its own special quirks. The whole stage transforms into WarioWare microgames during play!
In his post about the new stage, Masahiro Sakurai promises "rewards" for those who successfully complete the objective of each microgame. In the context of Smash Bros., we imagine that either to be a free item or damage for your opponents.
The people who turn items off are going to hate this stage.

This is -such- a cool idea. I am so happy that they included the 'Subspace Emmisary' mode because my GF wouldn't let me get it when it was a mainly multiplayer mode... her ex-bf used to play it. He was so crappy that that is reason enough for her to have hated me for getting it ha ha. I can WiFi against people when she is gone, hopefully.

Hell, I believe the people who turn items on are going to hate this stage as well. Whats more random than a bunch of Unown flying through one side of the screen, while a guy with a hammer is on the other, and you attempt to stay below the umbrella?

I wonder what the lack of health bars means? Was this a propped shot or is the game played differently in this stage?

This is actually the type of game I wanted in Warioware on the Wii...I hope there's more than 5 levels though...

This is the new Game-and-Watch stage. I already think (won't say 'know') I'll hate it because I'd rather fight a human opponent than the freakin' stage. Luckily in Melee, you could turn off a stage from the random select, and I hope they keep that sort of thing in Brawl.

I've never understood the (forgive the term) "esteemed individuals who play the Super Smash Bros. video game competitively." I mean I guess if you're playing for money or whatever, playing on the straightforward stages and disabling items and stuff is understandable. But when you're just playing for fun, why why why why why would you turn off the stages and items that make this such a great party game? I had way more fun playing four player matches on Big Blue with items cranked up to max than I ever did with one on one fighting without items on Final Destination, even if the person I was fighting was at the same skill level as me. People need to keep in mind that Smash Bros. is first and foremost a giant Nintendo fan service game before it's a hardcore fighter.

Something about that screen shot with Peach is just plain ol' awesome, but I can't really put my finger on it.

Yes everyone pay attention when he who has a naked peach avatar speaks of Peach. These stages get more intriguing.

I'm digging the edited version of my comment. So delightfully polite and deliciously eloquent; it gets the double thumbs up~

We like to turn off the items and certain stages because it makes the game based more on luck (or running around Hyrule and laser spamming the whole match)
Why should we do what we find fun. Obviously we find it fun or we wouldn't do it. The great thing is, if we ever DO get bored of it, we can still turn items on etc.
You play your way, we'll play ours. No problem, M'kay?
