That joke caption is funny on many levels. Man I wish Retro or someone will revive Kid Icarus. Maybe like having Ness and Marth/Roy in Smash their series will get back into the spotlight.

I had a heck of a time trying to get the original video to work in firefox, but it worked just fine in Opera. A youtube video should have no problems for anybody, though.

Trying the on-site video pretty much murdered my PC-CPU speed for about five minutes, eventually forcing me to retreat in shame
thank god for you-tube
Also, it looks like Pit will be another "silent protagonist," although it would've been kickass to hear Palutena speak

My only problems with it are:
-Please don't tell me that if/when the KI franchise is revived, we're going to have yet another non-verbal protagonist. It just gets annoying to have a character who never vocalizes words, just the occasional grunt or gasp.
-The rings on Pit's wrist are cool looking, if only they were rings. They're circl-agons, just like the big rings in the screenshots from NiGHTs. I love my wii, but wish it would be allowed to draw a circle.
Those aside though, I think it's pretty badass. How awesome is the house that you exit by falling backwards out the door into the sky?

Oh, so now Pit figures out how to fly. Jerk.
(I've been playing Kid Icarus on Virtual Console. I wonder if they could've made that game any harder. Ha ha.)

In the original build of Kid Icarus you couldn't jump at all, instead you just did a move that made a million hungry lions materialise and gore you.
Also every time you lost the cartridge would transform into a Decepticon and decapitate you.
the version they settled on was marginally easier. Marginally

In the beginning of the video, you can see the fate of the large stadium where the Ancient Minister dropped that huge bomb.
KABOOM!!

Best part: Pit running off and raising his bow over his head like a child with a balloon, or a third-world dictator with a warhead.
I run Firefox 2.0 and I had no problems running the original vid. My comp is about 6 years old, too. Freakish.
Yeah, Nintendo better have a Kid Icarus Wii game in development within 3 minutes of the SSBB launch. Otherwise I might begin to say mean things about Iwata's mother.

I am praying to god that the entire dialogue of the single player isn't just a mix of huh's, heh's, uh's, and oh's. I might just have to play with the sound off.

My guess is that the characters who can talk in their native games will (Mario, Snake, Peach, C. Falcon, Fox) and those who can't won't (Samus, Pit, Link, Kirby, the Pokemon, Zelda)

Zelda talks.
...technically.
Seriously, though Nintendo – give Pit a voice. Especially when/if you announce that new Kid Icarus game (and you God damn BETTER!). It would be great to have a potentially epic Nintendo game with full on voice acting.
It's amazing that anyone in Nintendo-Land ever evolved due to ther lack of anything resembles verbal communication.
All my whining aside, this kicks ass! I'm so glad they brought back Pit. Kid Icarus was/is one of my favorites from the old days.
