We spent all last week talking about Metroid Prime 3, so let's pick up with something not-so-completely different: Medal of Honors: Heroes 2. Early word on this game is nothing short of amazing. Screenshots that have us a little impressed. 32-person (!) online multiplayer. But best of all? Word is that the controls are awesome, and that's what really matters. It looks like EA is really sinking their teeth into the Wii, from their special control schemes to their game choices. We never thought we'd say this, but they're shaping up to be one of our favorite developers this cycle.IGN's Matt Casamassina recently spent some quality time with the latest Medal of Honor title and has nothing but praise for it. Apparently it even adds a little something to the WWII game, which is good news; we're starting to think that developers have forgotten every other war in history. He does lament the on-rails aspect of Arcade Mode, but says everything else (i.e., the shooting part of the shooting game) is worth playing. The more free-flowing Campaign Mode, however, moves beyond simply "worth playing" and into "rivals Metroid," which piques our interest something fierce. So let's talk. Are you into this one? Has it cropped up on your radar now? Or are you skeptical until you see more on it?

I can't wait for it, finally a proper online experience. It looks great and if it plays as well as they say it will be one of the best games available for the Wii

Cant wait for a game worthy of online multiplayer. This game is going to rival Halo 3 for Game of the Year for sure

I'm only dipping my little toe in the water on this one.
Obviously I'd happily be proved wrong.

Whats interesting is that he says the "Arcade Mode", which is a bonus feature, is much better than Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. And he laments the "Arcade Mode".
Really says something about RE:UC...

I thought MOH: Vanguard was a decent game when I rented it (at least, I thought it was a better game than Call of Duty 3, which I hated on principle of those stupid gun-wrestling minigames), so this one's on my radar.

I have been waiting for this game. 32 players online is enough to be orgasmic. I have already reserved mine and I am really looking forward to November for its release. I am glad to see the Wii finally getting a game that will be on the level of Xbox Live. Now I am just hoping for voice chat with that 32 player so we can have some strategy talk and some trash talking.

The fact that it has an adjustable bounding box has me convinced that the controls are going to be great. If online works well (little lag), I'll be hoping on this train for sure.

I've been dying for this game since the first time I heard "online multiplayer". 32? SWEET! Let's just see if the online works better than it did in Madden...(if they're using EA Nation again...)
Strikers has great online, Madden's left a lot to be desired. And I also wanted coop online, and offline...as well as voice communication. It's a combat game, you need communication...
Oh man, the list keeps growing, and I make myself more and more wary of it all...

@ Jeremy,
Sadly it's already been confirmed to have no voice comms due to Nintendo not having any plans of an online headset.
The game does look good though, read through the IGN preview & was very surprised at how decent it sounds. Good to see the full control tweaks extending past MP3, hopefully this will now become the norm for Wii FPS games.
I must admit had it not been for the lack of voice comms I would have definitely preordered after reading the IGN preview, as it is I still might pick it up but I do like to form some sort of strategy with my team mates. Without communication games like this just turn into deathmatch which gets tedious after a while.
One to watch.

They are using EA Nation so there won't be any need for friend codes. It was stated in the interview on IGN.

Why it doesn't have voice chat it does have a "Quick Chat" feature that sends audible messages to the other players, probably stuff like "good game" and "get our flag back" etc etc. Personally I prefer this as long as its fairly easy to navigate the quick chat menu while playing.

It doesn't have splitscreen multiplayer, which, imo, is the only type of multiplayer. One-person online is simply playing against smart (or stupid) computers. Multi-person online is too serious for my tastes. Then again, I do already have Vanguard for my multiplayer needs.

I was not interested until Matt from IGN reported on this. I don't know what it is but I usually agree with his ratings after I play games
