According to Japanese information giant Enterbrain, even with reduced sales in August, the Wii crushed the other consoles in that nation. And by crushed here, we mean humiliated. We're not usually one to rub it in, but when you're talking combined sales of the PS3 and Xbox 360 not totaling half of Wii sales, things are getting a little silly. In the weeks leading up to August 26, Wii sales outnumbered the PS3 at a ratio of 3:1, and sales of the 360, which has always struggled in Japan, were barely a blip on the radar.For a full chart tracking console sales in Japan since last December, stomp past the break, Godzilla-style.

Don't delude yourself into thinking MS and PS3 aren't Nintendo's competetion. Sure, it's a little hazier than normal, but the fact is they are the big 3 in gaming. "Budget" is a strategy, not a "product".

Microsoft sucks so bad in Japan, and you know Wii sales will be through the roof once Galaxies come out. But I wonder how much PS3 sales will increase in Japan once Final Fantasy 13 comes out....

Not to rain on your parade but the Wii was outselling PS3 6 to 1. Now its 3 to 1. This means the PS3 is actually gaining ground on the Wii. Yeah, I know, its still losing 3 to 1. But the article makes it sound as if the Wii is crushing the PS3 even worse than usual, which is not true.
