Today's dojo update focuses on music, revealing the customization of choosing your own tracks to listen to on any stage in the game. You can unlock new music by picking up CDs within the stages of the game, as you can see above. Good thing the music in the Smash Bros. franchise of games is so good, otherwise we'd be complaining about the inability to play our own mp3s during play.

2 galleries for Smash? Thats a lot of pictures :P
This kind of thing really shows that its not a quick port from Melee, and I like that.

why the hell would you think it was a quick port of melee. if it was a quick port it would of been out at launch.
This is a significant sequel, just like Melee was 100x better than original this is going to be 100x better than Melee. Audio wise this is very cool

I'm going to spend waaaay too much time on this feature alone and will, in the end, probably end up leaving the defaults as they are. With the excepction of D Krap. That can go bye-bye.

Here, here, here we go,
So they're finally here performing for you,
If you know the words you can join in too,
Put your hands togeather if you want to clap,
As we take you through this monkey rap,
Huh!!
DK, Donkey Kong!!
He's the leader of the bunch, you know him well,
He's finally back, to kick some tail,
His coconut gun can fire in spurts,
If he shoots ya, it's gunna hurt,
He's bigger, faster and stronger too,
He's the first member of the DK crew!
Huh!!
DK, Donkey Kong!!
DK, Donkey Kong is here!!
This Kong's got style, so listen up dudes,
Shecan shrink in size to suit her mood,
She's quick and nimble when she needs to be,
She can flout through the air and climb up trees,
If you choose her, you'll not choose wrong,
With a skip and a hop, she's one cool Kong!
Huh!!
DK, Donkey Kong!!
He has no style, he has no grace,
This Kong has a funny face,
He can handstand when he needs to,
And stretch his arms out just for you,
Inflate himself just like a baloon,
This crazy Kong just digs this tune!
Huh!!
DK, Donkey Kong!!
DK, Donkey Kong is here!!
He's back again and about time too,
And this time he's in the mood,
He can fly real high with his jetpack on,
With his pistols out he's one tough Kong,
He'll make you smile when he plays his tune,
But Kremlings beware 'cause he's after you!
Huh!!
DK, Donkey Kong!!
Huh!!
Finally he's here, he's here for you,
It's the last member of the DK crew,
This Kong's so strong, it isn't funny,
He'll make a Kremling cry out for mummy,
He can pick up a boulder with relative ease,
Makes crushing rocks seem such a breeze,
He may move slow, he can't jump high,
But this Kong is one heck of a guy!
Huh!!
C'mon Cranky take it to the fridge!
Walnuts, peanuts, pineapple smells,
Grapes, melons, oranges and coconut shells,
Walnuts, peanuts, pineapple smells,
Grapes, melons, oranges and coconut shells,
Oh yeah!!

That one pic showed at least 4 Mario jams. I'm so excited. I'm going to leave the stages and the songs on true random forever.
Oh, and to all the homies out there who like the DK Rap as much as I do, let me point you towards Super Mario Compact Disco. It's a CD that pretends it's a radio station, so in between each jam this DJ comes on and introduces the next jam. All the music is remixed from SMB1, 2, 3, SMW, SML, SML2, SMK, and whatnot. It came out in 1993 only in Japan and the UK, and it's by the Ambassadors of Funk and MC Mario. Oh, and MC Mario raps over every song with the best raps you'll ever hear in your life. It's really a sight to behold, and it's actually sound so you can't even see it!
Here's the Wikipedia link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Mario_Compact_Disco
Here is a page with all the lyrics:
http://www.themushroomkingdom.net/mania/smcd.shtml
I can't find the full video in the sea of fanmade ones on YouTube, but here is half of the music video for "Super Mario Land," which charted in 1992, recorded off TV, and it's incredible:

You can porbalby order it online or even download it somewhere too.

Did anyone else notice that Nobuo Uematsu composed the Brawl theme? Awesome. I hope he contributes more than just that one song.

That's the scary thing; in order to make such an assumption in the first place he had to have read the article but skipped the 17% that clearly said:
"the music in the Smash Bros. franchise of games is so good"

This game has to win any and all "best original music" awards that are out there for 2007
I mean, damn, it'll be a fallacy if they don't recognize all this music talent, and all that variety

@Trashman, "New songs for downloadable content would be a cool feature"
No DLC music would NOT be a cool feature. A cool feature would be to have all the freaking music in the game to begin with.

Mr Khan:
It's not really original, though. Since they're all (except for the main theme) arrangements of songs from old games or just the old songs.

I kept a small A4 chart of all the Trophies nearby my GameCube, and checked them all off as I went.
At this rate, I'll be using a whole wall to check off everything in this one!
