If it's one thing that everyone has been dying for since the unveiling of the Wiimote, it's a genuine Star Wars experience. You know, with the Wiimote acting as a lightsaber, allowing us all to be the Star Wars Kid in the privacy of our own living rooms. Well, maybe Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is just what the doctor ordered.
Releasing in spring, the game will allow players to wield the Wiimote as a lightsaber and use the nunchuk to activate Force powers. The Wii version will be developed by Krome Studios and feature a Wii-exclusive duel mode, where friends can go head-to-head.

If the duel mode has online play as well then it definitely sounds like a "Wii-ner"

I hate to be a naysayer, but I have a feeling the particle system, the euphoria system, and the incredible graphics are not going to all be able to run on the Wii together.
I have a feeling this will be more of a DS port than an XBox360 port. :)

More like a PS2 port, Krome Studios was also doing the PS2 version.
But I'm still praying it will be good.

I would be just as excited as everyone else is about this.... if this game wasn't a port.
I'm wary of ports on the Wii, because of the radically different control scheme.
It all rests on the company doing the port; hopefully they'll really take the time & effort to tweak the Wii controls to make it a fun game to play on the system.

Mixed feelings here... if it's a FUN port, with convincing Wiimote swordfights and smart use of the nunchuck for Force push/pull/etc, then hooray for ports! So much potential for fun if they take the time to map the controls well. I've said before and will say again, it could be a screen-by-screen Jedi Outcast clone and if the controls were great, I'd gladly drop $50 on it.
If it's a crappy port, though... well, we've got enough of those :)

Graphics will suck, the motion controls won't be direct translations of your remote movement but I'm still excited!

Lego Star Wars this Christmas to get me warmed up for an actual game. Who cares if it is a port SW games are usually well worth the money.
