JeuxFrance has posted some fresh screens for one of our most-anticipated titles for the Wii: Battalion Wars 2. In hitting us up with ten fresh screens, we get a glimpse at some of the different vehicles available for use in the game. Considering the last time we had any kind of update on the game was way back when in July, we're glad we're getting any kind of update on the game.

Is this game still coming out on Oct 30th? That's just over a month away and we have had next to nothing for promotional items.
Where are the loads of screenshots, videos, developer interviews, etc. I'm worried this game will be delayed until Spring '08.
Either way, it's a day-one purchase for me.

The problem with Nintendo is that they seem to not care about their games.
Today some weird game got released, I heard about it on the radio, there were ads all over blockbuster and obviously in game stores all around my city. Its impossible to not realize which game I'm talking about.
Nintendo, on the other hand, made no noise regarding Metroid Prime. Hell, I'm starting to see Mario Strikers Charged ads appear on TV, a few months AFTER it released.
I highly doubt Smash Bros - Nintendo's most important holiday franchise (imho) - will get even 1/3 the hype/advertisement as that game that released today...

Actually, Nintendo's marketing strategy is on par with any other product -- EXCEPT video games. Most products get a little publicity before they're released to stores, giving stores a chance to stock up ("critical mass" is the technical term) before launching whatever blitz is necessary. With MP3, they really sold the game based on reviews and a few video clips close to launch.
It's WAAAY better, IMO, than releasing a hundred million promos a year before the game comes out (BioShock, Gears of War, Halo, Darkness, lots of other stuff). It wastes money and builds up future disappointment many times -- something that is damaging to even good games.

TBH I'm praying they announce a delay for this release. I'd rather it be held back until Nintendo eventually release a headset for online voice comms, will only be half an online game without them IMO.

It's silly to try and compare a game launch like BWii's to Halo 3's. The Halo franchise by itself has such a huge, system selling force that Microsoft needs to put all its advertising dollars behind the series.
BWii, much like most games on the Wii so far don't have quite as much noteriety.
