Retailers stealthily changed the date on the title, and it looks to have been pushed back to just before Christmas. We can only hope that will give Sega a chance to work on the framerate issue. As for the motion controls, Graham at Sega Nerds demanded the right to test the motion controls at TGS and reported that they really weren't anything special. In fact, he says the other mode -- which more closely resembles the original Saturn controls -- was better. So maybe those will be fixed as well ... and if not, well, that's okay. We can do our androgynous fly-bys retro-style.
We've updated the gallery below with some of the new screens, and we'll tell you that they are definitely worth a peek. If this is how much NiGHTS has improved recently, we can't wait to see it at release!

Holy crap, that actually does look good. Hell, it almost looks like CG. Even NiGHTS' character model doesn't look like ass anymore in the other screen shots.

Maybe this is just because I didn't get into the last one, but this game just doesn't seem to do it for me. It looks pretty, but the gameplay vids that I have seen don't get me excited about it. Maybe if I can do a hands-on with it my thoughts will change.

I'm happy to see the game is improving, as the first shots they released looked like something that was made 6 years ago. Even though I didn't play the original game (didn't own a Dreamcast) after seeing these news pics I have to admit I kinda want to get my hands on it.

This is, well, breathtaking, i guess this is a more complete build (legend has it, according to a NiGHTS fansite, that the build that was shown at Liepzig and TGS was only 55% complete)

The game is definitely looking much better, I was going to buy it regardless, now it’s much more anticipated. That one screen of the European style city streets is just incredible and shows what Wii can do when developers take the time to ad detail and not just cut and paste.
