Ryan Drummond.
Ryan Drummond provided the voice of Sonic in the 1999 Sonic Adventure and in several games, until he was replaced with jonny-come-lately Jason Griffith. But what about the fans who adored Drummond? What solace can we offer them? All we have lying around is a shoulder to cry on and a box of tissues ... but wait! Perhaps there will be a solution! Dedicated fans have begun a campaign to get Drummond back (at least for Brawl), and that is the subject of this week's video spotlight. I am interested in starting a petition over at petitiononline.com to get Ryan Drummond for Brawl rather than Jason Griffith. If anyone would like to help compose the petition, please leave a comment and let me know Some of you may see this as a joke but there are people out there that this means a lot to.

I have to give a big fat no to jaleel white.For example when you play this game for a long time you will learn to hate his voice, kinda like listening to the itchy and scratchy theme song at high speeds and repititiously.

I don’t care, as longest it sounds like Sonic. I didn’t care about Montana’s voice on the Scareface game. Why would I care about Sonic’s or even Mario’s?

I've tried twice and both people aren't 100% aware of the situation, however, I've read on forums that there are reps who not only are very aware, but have also said that if they get enough calls (the amount sadly is unknown), then they'll hire Ryan!
We got 3 months until the game goes gold, so we have loads of time!

Ok, basically to give everybody the run down, because I had to go do research.
Basically there are like the 3 real main voices of Sonic, that being Jaleel White (Steve Urkel from Family Matters), Jason Griffith, and Ryan Drummond.
Jason voices most of the newer stuff, but Ryan is basically a fan favorite (majority of people prefer him as far as I can see on YouTube).
Urkel absolutely isn't going to voice Sonic because he only voiced years ago, and Urkel sounds just like you think he would sound, extremely shrill voiced, although the people who grew up on the TV show prefer him. But it's such a departure from the Sonic voice of today, that it would never be considered, so skip Jaleel.
So basically it comes down to Ryan Drummond and Jason Griffith. I took the time to search for a youtube comparison of them, and here it is

In my own opinion Ryan Drummond sounds a little better, Jason voices really high pitched, and not at the emotion that Drummond does it in.
Whoever you want though, you should call in. Why? Because Melee came out a couple of years ago and many people still play it like it just came out. The same will probably be true for Brawl, you will be playing it for the next 2-3 years possibly, so make sure you don't get stuck with an annoying voice on such an important character that many people requested to be in the game.
