With something like this they can do one of two things. They can rush the production of this game and do a direct port and nobody will buy it or they can take their time in making this game and give it a great Wii touch.

I was a bit surprised they decided to port it over, to be honest. I had pretty much given up all hope. Thus when they did announce it, it was wonderfully out of the blue.
I just hope it sells well enough to get a sequel to the game. I would think if it got to 500,000 copies sold they'd make one, given the game's circumstances. It would be nice to have a real AAA series on the Wii that ISN'T made by Nintendo for once.
Although if we did get an Okami sequel, I would hope that Capcom would be wise enough to at least get Hideki Kamiya back on board as the director.

Ready at Dawn is a very capable company. Dexter is a favorite and the new God of War looks to be amazing.

I'm a little worried about Ready at Dawn, but if their other games have been good thus far, then I guess I should chill. But this is probably some of the best news I've heard for the Wii. Anything to remind me of Clover Studios. *sniff* I feel empty without them.

Man, every time I see that picture I get a little flutter in my heart, like a promising first date or something. I already played the hell out of the PS2 version, but I have promised myself I *will* buy this game, to send a message to Capcom: MAKE A SEQUEL. Another game this good would be a boon to the world.

I was a little surprised. Then again this game was practically made for Wii, so I'd probably be more surprised if they had decided not to port it. I'm not worried about the quality of the title at all, because Ready at Dawn seems quite capable. The biggest drawback I see is that the original developers won't be able to say, "I wanted to add this feature to the PS2 version, but couldn't. Now I can add it to the Wii version." I don't they are planning for any extras, other than motion control. Still, Okami is strong enough to stand on its own, and I'm looking forward to it.

Amazing! I am DYING to play this. I never played it on PS2, but my friends did and it looks to be one of the most amazing games ever. I'm anticipating this just as much as Brawl and SMG.

I was elated! Now they just need to do three things:
Promote, promote, promote.
I want to see kick@ss T.V. advertisements playing around the clock for Okami on Wii, or OkamWii.

To be honest, I'm really excited to try Okami. I had a PS2 but I never bothered to pick it up. I think by that point, it was like "I'll just save up money for the Wii's launch" and didn't really buy any games. I regret never getting around to this and am happy to get a second chance. Right now, I'm just more worried about the porting of it. I hope Okami makes the jump to the Wii unscathed and I can enjoy this title everyone has been so eager for.

i bought okami on the ps2. Aside from the beginning movie taking forever and having the most annoying sounds, the game was incredibly beautiful. But this will benefit greatly on the wii in my eyes. I find using the ps2 controller boring and therefore I played the first boss and turned it of with no desire to start it up again.
But I find myself loving to play with the wii's comfy controller setup and will definitely play this game through on the Wii.

I never played Okami for PS2 (never owned a PS2) so this news is awesome. Totally awesome. Okami looks amazing, and I can't wait to pick this up for Wii.
