Today's update over at the dojo involves Classic Mode, the formal single player campaign of the game where you progress through various stages, battling random enemies until you reach the end. The matches can vary in that sometimes you'll fight opponents who are metal or giant, and occasionally you'll have teammates. The stages chosen are the same every time, however, as stage 1 is Link's and stage 3 is Pokemon, etc.

I figure its worthy of mentioning that according to the site, each Stage will have randomly assigned fighters, that match said stage.
On Stage 1, for example, you'd fight Link OR Zelda OR Ganon/dorf. On Stage 3, Pikachu/Mewtwo/Jigglypuff/Someone else?
By making everything random, they're trying to make stuff be a lot more fun, have more replay value.
Also worthy of noting, is the appearance of Krystal, Star Fox's Girlfriend, in SSBB.

Yeah, it seems like its a cross between the rules of the original and Melee, the former with its set matches and stages, the second being totally random stage/characters
This idea is good, it'll leave you with a bit of variety without being totally unaware of what could be coming (fighting "The Donkey Kong Team" on normal difficulty or higher was always a kick in the sack)

Agreed. Team Donkey Kong sucked pretty hard. At least there was no Team Bowser. Nintendo would have made a fortune on controllers if there was though.

Assist Trophy and Pokemon updates are always lame. Every time I see one I think "This is nice, I like it. It doesn't really warrant an update though." The initial introduction update of them was nice, but I'd rather just see them all at once when I get the game. Here's the gist of what I mean "Koffing came out of a Pokeball! Amazing! He shoots poisonous clouds in all directions! WOW!" I don't really care.
