We're all anticipating Mario Kart's release on the Wii. It may still be a while before we can fulfill all our Go-Karting (or should we say motorcycling) needs, but at least we can have a good laugh in the meantime. That's why we recommend that you watch this parody of the franchise's SNES original, titled "Super Manrio Kart." The folks behind this stop-motion film made if for an animation class, and all we have to say is, they better have gotten an A. It doesn't have a guy in a Princess Peach costume, but it's still fun, nonetheless.

Nice! They pulled off the items very well. The only disappointing thing is the lack of music during the race.

Sweet video! I'm definitely sharing this one with my friends! Must've taken forever ever to make, but the hard work certainly paid off!
And to reply to #4, I am waiting on the Check Mii Out channel too. I thought they'd release it early in the day, but no dice here and it's 7:30pm so I don't know when it's gonna come out. I want it right now!
But instead I just spent the whole day playing every mario game leading up to Galaxy. So I still spent my time wisely.

This was on YTMND a long time ago (without the Mario Kart theme) and called "Butt Racing" - people stop-motion raced down the sidewalks and through fields and other areas while sitting on nothing but their butts.

I think it was an attempt at poking fun at one's personal misfortune in games. I felt they meant it ran out just as it would become useful, as is the case usually it seems. I'd be like sweet, I'll be fine because of my star then it wears off right when it counts.
Kinda like how Red vs Blue poked fun at how Tucker never got the fucking sniper rifle? Not an exact comparison but the same underlying joke is there.
That said the video was fantastic, just wished they would have played some level music in the background, doesn't even need to be that loud, just to keep the video moving along through the slower parts.

Great work, could have used some better music and sound FX but on the whole a pretty impressive display.
