We're all familiar with the pulsating blue glow that tells us we've got a message. Some of us find it futuristic, others creepy (it's like it's breathing or something.) How do you react to the Wii's alerts? Do you check your messages immediately, thinking that this will be the time it's important, or do you prefer to leave the pretty blue light on as long as possible?
Also, do you ever send messages to your friends' Wiis just to turn their blinky light on? We have, on occasion, for a friend who does the same for us! It's blinky, you see. The light blinks.

I think it's pretty cool. I noticed it yesterday for the first time that it was actually pulsating instead of the funky flickering that it was doing previously. It was pretty cool.

I always tell myself that I'm just going to let it glow. It never happens, though. Five minutes later, tops, I'm checking the message board. I'm the type that needs to know why. Besides, if I really want it to glow blue, I'll just send an email to it.

I always check it out..however most of the time, this site tells me what it is before I check it.
I do like to make other people's Wiis light up. It is exciting to see the glow. Maybe I will get more "junk mail" since I signed up for the updates from this new Show-off-your-Wii-channel.

I never check messages ever. I just use the Wii to play games. Truely, I wish there was a way to set it to go directly to the game instead of the home screen... If I want the home screen I'll push the handy little button.

Well, I bought a black case for my Wii and one of those green Wii gates that Joystiq had on a couple months ago. Plus I have a pulse vu chip so the light is always pulseing when in standby. Plus the light stays on when I am playing a game because I missed a solder point. Looks preety tight.

My experience the first time wasn't so pleasant. I wake up in the middle of the night to an eerie glow in a dark room. Luckily it doesn't glow red...

My buddies send me quirky things all the time just so it glows blue. I think they want me to return the favor, but I rarely do. One message simply said, "BLUE!".
I do like the way it looks in the dark with the rest of my entertainment center. All these little LEDs and one bright blue pulsating glow.

It all depends on the time of day when I see it...
If it is in the morning during the week...I wait until I get home from work.
If it is in the evening or on the weekends, I check it as soon as I see it.
I send messages to my friends every couple of weeks in hopes of getting one back.

I hate it when I get stupid messages from Nintendo... Is there a way to opt out of them?

I like the pulse and usually leave it on for a day or so if I know what the message is. I wish it was like those Dell XPS computers and we could change the color to red or green or something.

I have been freaked out by that odd blue glow flashing in the next room in the middle of the night.

@10 I have one of those Dells and I was thinking the same thing!
Yeah, I like the blue glow, and I always get excited when I see it because I think that Nintendo is surprising me with a channel again. It's usually a mesage from my little brother, who also has a Wii, but he's still in the first grade and has a bit of a limited vocabulary, so while I can sometimes make out a word or two, most of the time it is completely garbled. My other Wii friends don't really send me mssgs that often, as we usually just use the phone or email. Still, I love that blue glow, but it doesnt last long, as I have to check my mail immediately.

My thought process after seeing the pulsing blue light is usually:
1. Woah, I hope it's something kick arse that will put Nintendo over the top in the console wars forever and ever!
2. I wonder if I can just check Wii Fanboy to see what it is so the blue light won't go away.
3. (upon finding out the truth) Aww...

Yep, that's exactly what I'll use my Wii for and bypass all this Wiiconnect and channel nonsense. For me its only a game console with quality games.

...me?
It always seems to happen in the middle of the early morning.
I wake up to my room glowing... and I'm half asleep and wondering what the pikachu's going on. After tumbling around several times, I finally realize it's my Wii... not my cellphone (again) .
...so I decide to check what it is... just for the heck of it.

I like it, except that nintendo always has to send the messages at like 2 in the morning, when my wii, being in my room, flashes and wakes me up!!
