If you need a Wii (for playing, not reselling, tsk!), this Sunday may be your lucky day. Only problem? You're probably not the only one on the hunt, so bundle up and get there early if you're trying to fulfill someone's holiday wishes for less than four hundred bones. Inside sources (our favorite kind) at NeoGAF have stated that many stores across the country have shipments for Sunday, with some stores loading up with as many as three hundred consoles.

I've heard this from other sources, too. With a suspected 100-300 consoles per store, I don't think lining up more than half an hour early is advised. I camped for six hours on launch, but the store only had 12 to sell. I'd imagine even 300 will be sold out before noon, though.

My cousin wanted one, and we showed up a half hour before opening at toys r us last sunday. They had 55, but all of the tickets were gone an hour before the store opened.

I just came back from a Best Buy and happened to be standing there while they were handing out the last few Wii's in stock. People were lined up and they were handing them out straight out of the box. What's funny is the boxes they were shipped in had big orange stickers that said "Hold For 12/2 Ad", so I guess that somewhat confirms this story, although apparently not all stores are completely paying attention. Of course, they probably had 100 more in the back.

Few days old with that one, but I agree it sounds great... You can use the "Send us news tips" to the right to contact NWF directly.

Hopefully BB wont be shady with their supply and constantly pull the "Attention customers, Only one Wii left! Hurry!" only to pull it again 20 min later.

This weekend I spoke to employees at two Los Angeles area Best Buys (one of whom was a manager) and both told me big shipments of Wiis were coming in this week. I returned to one store first thing on Monday morning and they had put a few out, so I bought one. Then after work on Monday I went to a third Best Buy to pick up a game (the game selection sucked at the store where I bought my console), and they had a couple Wiis in a cage in the games section. So they really do seem to be getting stock in ...

last time I check on ebay, there are over 12,000 Wii units as new condition. That's lot of new brand in box that never use and sell for profit. That tick me off. I always think that eBay sellers grab so quick right after unit arrive at any store before regular customer get.

I remember waiting in line last year for Best Buy's second launch of the Wii (it happened a couple of weeks after the first launch). I remember waiting in line with Hardcore gamers and soccer moms. I remember my balls being really really cold (as well as the rest of me).
I can't believe that shit is still going on. God bless those that STILL can't get a Wii.
