Everytime Miyamoto talks, we listen. The man has some serious clout. And, for good reason, considering that just about every single thing we love about Nintendo can be directly attributed to his efforts at the company. This latest interview is the usual Miyamoto fare, where he comments on just how utterly insane he is (making your own puppets and playing with them?!).The piece focuses mainly on Mario (considering his recent success). His origins, as well as where he has come after all of these years, is discussed with the iconic figure. Oh, and he even takes some time to talk about the horrible movie based (oh-so-loosely) on the gaming property.

For the record. That movie rocked. I would like to see anyone take the Mario story lines that were available in '93 and create something better!

WTF?! Best movie evar!
Well, maybe that's stretching it a little, but in all honesty, it was pretty good considering how bad other videogame movies are, even today.
What they should do is a CG movie, cause the intros for the recent Mario games (spinoffs included) are pretty decent. You can bet they would be profitable movies.

I'm sorry, but that movie sucked. For the following reasons:
1- Mario curses. Wtf?
2- No Princess Peach, but instead Princess Daisy, who was only in 1 game at the time.
3- Yoshi was a fossil? Why even make him if that's all you can do?
4- I'm pretty sure Mushroom Kingdom looked nothing like Harlem.
5- NO music notable from the series.
6- Bowser was a real person
7- The Goomba's? just humans with impish heads.
8- Mario doesn't jump good once. Isn't that what he's known for?
The list goes on, my friends. They'll do it right, no worries. I am completely for a CG movie, though.

I would play a game of Miyamoto's Puppets. We already did with Pikmin.

When Miyamoto was a child he wanted to be involved with puppet theater when he grew up. I wouldn't be surprised if puppets were somehow involved in the creation of Mario or Pikmin.
As for the Mario movie, It didn't make enough connections with the game. Though, I guess this is what they were aiming for. Sounds silly to me.
