Aksys appears to be the default U.S. publisher for Arc System Works's Japanese releases. In addition to the wonderful DS games they're localizing, they have picked up Sonic Powered's mini-flight sim, Petit Copter. The American release will be titled MiniCopter: Adventure Flight. This is the first American release for a game in the Petit Copter series, which has entries on the PS2, Xbox and other systems.
Now that we know we'll get to play it, we're somewhat more interested in the title than before. The graphics are pretty rough, yes, but flying around in an oversized world, manipulating objects and carrying out objectives with air missiles and suction cups at least sounds unique. Of course, we'll be a lot more "somewhat more interested"
in a budget-priced MiniCopter.

For the love of god, can these developers please put at least a little bit of effort into refining these games' visuals? The concept sounds neat enough, but these are N64 quality graphics. Unacceptable.

@ Alex:
I think that is where the whole "budget" thing comes in.

I'm vaguely interested. I like the concept, but I'm no more confident in the execution than anyone else.

having played petite copter for xbox and RC stunt copter (basicly the same thing) for ps1, I'm pretty stoked for this assuming there's a budget price involved. All the RC copter games have pretty poor graphics, and there's a steep learning curve but that has been because the controls are exactly like a real rc chopper. i.e. very twitchy, and with lots of stuff to smack into. but they have been very very good. I'm assuming this will use the classic controller as dual analogs is the only way to maintain realistic control. I do wish it looked better but visuals arn't really the point.
It's more like katamari for the hardcore. less rolling stuff and more precision movement. But it's all down to enjoying the controls. You get it and it's awsome or you should stick with fixed wing flight because you won't have a good time.
