This Wii, currently being auctioned on eBay, comes in a black shell and features a chrome-finish stand and a Darth Vader picture on the side. It includes two black Wiimotes and two black Nunchuks. It was one of four made to promote Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. In short, it is brimming with collectibility. Or it would be if we knew it was real.
The provided pictures are clearly Photoshopped, unless what we thought was a chrome stand is actually printed with a close-up picture of a couch. Furthermore, the Wiimote pictured is an old prototype with "x" and "y" buttons and no speaker. Also, troublingly, the name of the promoted game is incorrectly written as Unleash the Force. We think we'd need a little more reassurance before we dropped $15,000 on this system.
Oh, did we mention that it's fifteen thousand dollars? Because it is. Fifteen thousand dollars.

I can make one for for half price for ya ;-) But seriously if you want a Skin like that just grab a Darth Vader picture and go to mytego. That's what I did with the Mario galaxy backgrounds you find on the web and I made a sweet skin out of it on their website. $30 only! But Looks like $15,000!! :-D

Careful, it isn't intirely legal to print and sell skins that aren't properly licensed. While I'm sure it's great I wouldn't go around saying that's what you did or one day that site will omniously dissapear.

Yeah this has fake written all over it. Even the Vader face on the side is an obvious image pasted on the side. They did nothing but take prototype images of the Wii when it was black and touched it up. I doubt anyone even puts up that kind of money for this item.

If you go on the e-bay webpage you can see that the Wii-mote is actually a bit different then the normal Wii one.. look closelly.
It would be ugly with a white numchuck attached to it, thus :(

If anyone wants a Darth Vadar Wii for less than 15k one of my buddies has the equipment to give stuff that nice enamel coating finish. Just paint on the graphic, coat the Wii black and give it a nice glossy enamel finish and it comes out looking stock. Plus modding the light to be red is easy as pie.
Hrm.. actually I think I may have just thought of a way to make some extra money. Buy some used Wii's from my personal source at 120 dollars a piece, customize them, and sell em on ebay.

Better yet I'll buy up replacement shells, customize them, add in a mod kit for the light and the proper tools and sell that.
