As predicted, the arrival of December the 10th on your calendar
coincides with the release of
Pokemon Snap on the Virtual Console. Of course, you all know about the
added feature to the Virtual Console edition of the N64 game by now. Well, hopefully this opens up a whole new world of possible improvements to other Virtual Console games in the future.
Today's Virtual Console releases are:
- Pokémon Snap (Nintendo 64, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points)
- Baseball Stars 2 (NEOGEO, 1-2 players, 900 Wii Points)
- Ghosts 'n Goblins (NES, 1-2 players, 500 Wii Points)
And, as usual, be sure to stop back here later for our video wrap-up of the week's releases.

I figured out why they won’t release Samurai Showdown.
After the Manhunt 2 fiasco SNK are probably torn between releasing the original game or the US censored (green blood) version.
Samurai Showdown before 2008, PLEASE!!!

I've been hoping they would do Baseball Stars (the original). I'm pretty sure I would get it, making it my first VC purchase. It was such an awesome game, having tons of features not available for many years in other games. I know I played it, but I can't remember how the sequel stacked up to it.

Well, the NES sequel improved upon it's predecessor quite a bit. Plus it's harder to come by, so that will be a day 1 purchase for me. However, the NeoGeo version are reversed, meaning that the prequel was actually better then the sequel, because they took out all of the custom team building aspects. The best of both worlds would be if they released Baseball Stars Professional (NeoGeo) on the VC. I'd be all over it.
In the meantime, get you a copy of MLB Power Pros....it's the next best thing.

I was hoping for Samurai Shodown, too, but I'm likely to pick up Pokemon Snap anyway.
