We're a little surprised to see a 2D shooter being released in the U.S. outside of the Virtual Console (which is shmupland). But we shouldn't be -- it was published in Japan by Arc System Works, and Aksys seems to have swept up all of their Nintendo content for localization. Just to be clear, we are thrilled about that. Check out the press release after the break and enjoy our gallery of brightly-colored, confusing screens!

Where do I preorder? Shikigami no Shiro 2 was an excellent shooter (JPN version released for PC), and while Shiki 3 isn't as great as 2, it's certainly a great trend to see outstanding shooters being brought over. I second the request for Mushi and pretty much anything Cave's ever done - that's what Wii Ware is for, right?

Aksys has either brought over or plans to bring over some really great games to the DS and Wii. Guilty Gear XX Accent Core is a blast and I am dying for Super Dodgeball Brawlers. With this announcement, Aksys has become a top tier publisher in my book.
