Well now, this is a picture all too familiar to you, fine reader, painted time and time again before your eyes. It's one that has lost most of its zest and ability to shock and awe you. So, know that the Wii came close to selling a million in November (thanks to a very strong push over Thanksgiving), only failing to reach that wonderful number by 19,000 units.
Hardware sales are as follows:
- DS Lite: 1.53m
1.07m (234%) - Wii: 981K
462K (89%) - Xbox 360: 770K
404K (110%) - PSP: 567K
281K (98%) - PS2: 496K
312K (169%) - PS3: 466K
345K (285%)
You'll be happy to hear that Super Mario Galaxy did quite well for itself. And, Wii Play is still kicking strong.
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Xbox 360) -- 1.57m
- Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) -- 1.12m
- Assassin's Creed (Xbox 360) -- 980K
- Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) -- 967K
- Wii Play w/ Remote (Wii) -- 564KK
- Mass Effect (Xbox 360) -- 473K
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3) -- 444K
- Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Wii) -- 231.7K
- Halo 3 (Xbox 360) -- 387K
- Assassin's Creed (PS3) -- 377K

aren't these new DS owners buying any games? perhaps because there are so many good DS titles available, no single game makes the list...
are these worldwide numbers? what happened to all those wiis ninty is allegedly building each month? i find it hard to believe they're all sitting on store shelves... perhaps the plane was hijacked??

It's just American and it doesn't include all retailers (Although I heard they make a guess at what non-participating retailers sold?)
There are usually DS games in the list but I think there was just too many new and popular console releases for this month and nothing all that new and huge on the DS during the same time.

Up 285% and it barely beat Wii's last month numbers by a few thousand.
And that's with price drops, free games and movies given away etc..
Pathetic.
