Of course, he likes the game in the angriest, most openly mocking way possible, but that's his way. Aside from a major quibble about the controls (after opining that the game would have been better with a GameCube pad, he astutely suggests that the game "denigrates the very console it's trying to sell), Mario Galaxy comes out as an overall positive experience, seeming to redeem "the lurching atrocity that is Nintendo's main franchise." Even if it does retread the Peach kidnapping.

I've been waiting since I got the game for Christmas to see this review. I was about to do one myself if he didn't. I'm generally quite calm when playing games, but it's thoroughly infuriating a lot of the time. It SHOULD be infuriating enough to make me stop playing it, but somehow I'm already halfway through playing as Luigi.

Wow, you had the patience to do all the purple coin missions? I guess I just don't have that kind of time... after the ~30th death on one of them (I forget which), I just put the controller down and walked away, and haven't been back since. I appreciate that they want you to "complete" the game, but Jesus it's irritating...

I got about 3 game overs trying to get through the "Luigi's Purple Coins" level with Mario and nearly strangled myself with the nunchuck cord. But I finally got past it and now I'm at over 100 with Luigi.

What makes it not worksafe? The cover art of Jason or Freddie Kruger?

Language, maybe?
Maybe you're lucky enough to have a bohemian workplace where the HR gestapo doesn't come busting down the door when conversations about masturbating video game characters arises.
But I'd imagine not so many others are quite as fortunate.

I would imagine the
image of Peach and Bowser humping
at the end is pretty NSFW, if at least non-graphical.

I found his commentary at Mario's incongruous relationship with Bowser to be hilarious
He would honestly only be 50% as funny if it weren't for those awesome flash videos

I am utterly suprised that he managed to actually admit that HE LIKED a videogame. Seriosuly, this guy kinda gets annoying. I thoroughly enjoyed SMG. Sure it had some flaws, but what video game doesn't. Anyways, I thought if was frickin' hilarious when he brought up how one day Mario is fighting Bowser, and the next they're playing sports with each other.

Did you see his review of The Orange Box? He certainly didn't hate Portal.

Yeah I was just about to say he had no criticism for Portal. I loved it too.

Yesterday I was doing some purple coin levels as Luigi and it was frustrating as hell, but eventually I completed them and felt great.

His analogy of Jason going into space and then teaming up with Freddy actually applies to Mario. The next true Mario game he will team up with SONIC!

Considering previous videos, this one was pretty slow.

Which game doesn't have any flaws? Ocarina of Time, thank you very much. Still boggles the mind that they fit a game that sweepingly huge into 16 megabytes (which was a lot at the time, but I don't find Twilight Princess to be much bigger in scope despite being 64 times as large codewise.)
