We should have better sense than to get all worked up over more ports, but we are so excited about The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return. The games look exactly like the arcade versions, with the obvious addition of the targeting reticule; you can choose to take that as arcade accuracy or laziness. Since we're in a good mood and really love the games, we're going to call it the former.Ghost Squad proved that a ported Sega light gun game could be better than most original Wii games, and we are therefore pretty eager for more of that.
In addition to a load of unaltered Houses of the Dead, the trailer reveals a set of -- what else? -- training-based minigames; before you set your Wiis on fire in anger, you should know that these are basically smaller challenges based on parts of the games' levels. You're still shooting zombies.
You don't need to be a siamese freak with 4 hands because these originally where light gun games on rails. On the wii instead of a light gun you have your wiimote controlling the cursor... 1 wiimore per person.
I am so glad you gave a compliment to Ghost Squad, and I am sure even that game will pale in comparison to this badarse lightgun extravaganza! I am really excited about this and one other port: Okami.
Games I have to buy this year even though I'm financially screwed:
No More Heroes SSBB House of the Dead Okami Wii Fit
They said it was because the graphics looked dated in comparison and they didn't want to completely rehaul it, it was best to just leave these two. Perhaps if they DID completely redo it, it could be a standalone title. Or better yet, make a Wii only sequel, or bring 4 over. Or something!
i just bought a wii zapper just to have it ready when this game comes out! i really loved it in the arcade ,but could never pass it since i would always run out of quarters and i never had anyone good to play co-op with me.
