As well as containing tons of screens we've not yet seen, the latest Famitsu scan featuring Namco Bandai's Family Ski shows off the title's unique use of Wii peripherals. If you've not yet heard, the game will use the Balance Board, while your Wiimote and Nunchuk double up as ski poles. It's the first title to use all three at once, and although we've yet to see a video of this peripheral fest in action, it promises to be a lot of fun.
Perhaps the game will eventually cover all bases, by including a specially devised mini-game that lets a second player shoot bad dudes with the Wii Zapper as player one speeds down the slopes. Or perhaps ideas like that are why we don't design games for a living.
Go past the break for a full-size version of the scan above.

It will be interesting to see how this works out. I find the skiing games in WiiFit to be frustratingly hard.

Ahhh yes, sounds just like the first time people picked up dual analog controllers. Actually, people still find it frustratingly hard, and it's one of the major factors as to why pre-Wii the video game industry was expanding nil.

Chris, for the record, I would buy this awesome "you shoot while I ski" game, so get to work on that sucker.

Awesome. Not that I think I'll play the game, but the fact that a developer is using the wiimote and wii fit board in conjunction. Now give me a remapped MP:3 where I can jump and crouch and I'm in :-)

I never had any interest in Wii Fit, but I would totally get this one IF they ditched the Miis (yea, fat chance), or at least let you not use them.

Heh, I just reread that and noticed it's from Namco instead of Nintendo. Maybe I will get it after all. Well, as long I can buy the board *without* Wii Fit (yea, fat chance).
