I hate to be "that guy" but this just doesn't look real to me. Something about that screen...the lighting just isn't right. I'm not making any accusations here, but the best source Geekologie gives is simply "Andy."

why doesn't someone make a gamecube controller slightly bigger and add a screen in the middle? that would be a lot more comfortable than that!

Ok first what is with you guys dissing portables? Second this is almost 4 years old the thread for this was started on the benheck forums in april 2004 http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?t=21&highlight=handheld+gamecube+attempt, right there. Is there any reason they couldn't produce a commercial version of this thing? I know I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I mean, UMD has already proved you can make a portable optical drive that works in a gaming handheld (howbeit perhaps with crappy load times...) and I'm sure that by this point they could make a Gamecube-on-a-chip for low tens of dollars, if that. Nintendo obviously has the best handheld hardware designers on the planet; from there, it's just an issue of funding the project and watching it sell like frickin' hotcakes. Throw in some Wifi (the chips for that come free with a box of Crackerjacks now) to sync game saves, and you can play the same games on your GCTG (Gamecube To Go!) *and* your Wii! Instant 700+ game library (sez WP) and plenty of developer experience!

C'mon! It (also) prints money! Any takers?
