Since the Wii Ware title was first announced, we've had no shortage of peeks at Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Young King and the Promised Land, but many of the screens have been small, grainy, or watermarked. Today, we're finally getting a new set of larger, pristine screens that show the forthcoming title off to its full advantage, and there's a lot to see. Not only are there a number of Final Fantasy trademarks, from costuming to characters, but the environments are lush and detailed. Length aside, it really looks like we're going to get plenty of bang for our buck on this one, and we can't think of a better way to get the Wii Ware party started.

Finally a use for those Wii points! but why is it that this looks better than 8/10 of every Wii game so far? and yet it's going to be squeezed into what? 512mb-1gb or something?

I doubt it's gonna look like that on Wii. Those pics looks pretty high res to me.

Why wouldn't it look like that on the Wii? Those graphics, while much better than I would expect for a small downloadable game, still look like they could've been pumped out of the slightly less powerful GameCube. :P

I'm not talking about the graphics, I'm only talking about the resolution. Those pictures are too clear, they don't look like 480p, which is the resolution Wii does. Those pictures look like a game running on PC at 1280x1024. Wii is only capable of the standard def tv resolution, it can't run high res. So the game may up look very similar to the photo, except, it will be more blurry overall, and will likely have more jaggys.

Hmm I haven't known Square Enix to touch up their screens but it's possible.

Square Enix is well known for wringing the best possible graphics from a limited amount of space. See their Final Fantasy remakes (and Chocobo Tales) on the DS for some examples.

I wonder if they will have chapters to download, because of the size? But the size of a DS is not that big either right?

I'm thinking this game is going to end up being short. Very short.
I don't care. I'm still going to download it.
