Yeah, we know, most of you guys are going to be skeptical of this video, which appears to depict a "New Duck Hunt" game for the Wii that imitates the original completely in every way except for 3D graphics. You think that the story given along with the video (that a Hudson employee's kid found an unlabeled disc in his father's desk that turned out to be a near-final New Duck Hunt) is dubious at best.
You cynics think that this is some kind of hoax, right? A simple 3D animation played on the TV while a guy waggles randomly? Open your hearts, people! You've all been on the Internet too long if you can't believe a mysterious, suspicious video of an unannounced, yet complete, game.

Sweet!!
I'd totally bet my grandmother's nipple ring collection on the fact that this video is indeed real.
Based on current graphical aspect ratios and psychic visions, id expect this to hit shelves Q32008

Well, it may be a fake. Why would Hudson be remaking a Nintendo game?
But, it wouldn't be a bad idea for Nintendo to take all the gun games they made for the NES and SNES and maybe some news gun games based on original NES and SNES games, and put out a disk of them for the Wii with updated graphics!

Why wouldn't it be real? It'd make perfect sense for the Wii.
It'd need to be a little bigger than the original for me to fork over 50 bucks, though. Maybe a re-make of the first SMB is in the works too?

I wouldn't automatically call fake, but bear with me because the school computer does not allow me to use Flash (plus the site that the data is being downloaded from is blocked anyway), but a rumor on teh internetz says that Hudson has taken command of a new duck hunt project
Now i wish i remember where it was

well it looks boring, I wouldn't be surprised if its real however. This would be great for Wiiware, but i'm guessing its early on. I remember it being more fun but that was like 20 years ago or something for me.

Thanks to the internet; I now believe that the monster in Cloverfield is Voltron, that the World Trade Center was an in house job, Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer, MGS4 is coming to X-box 360, and if I give a complete stranger my checking account information and $100 that I will suddenly have access to super secret Saudi Arabian Prince's treasure placed inside a lost checking account in Dubai.
Now I can finally add that I believe in New Duck Hunt.

Compared to everything you said, a new duck hunt isn't really that far fetched.

I'm calling fake. Here's my evidence:
Audio -- this music and effects are straight from the original game. If this was real, it would be updated for Wii ala New Super Mario Bros. or SMGalaxy.
The "interaction" between the game and the player -- It's obvious he's taking cues from the screen to "shoot" his remote.
I'd love this as a concept, although since the original Duck Hunt was basically a minigame I can't see this being anything but WiiWare. Or maybe it'll be packed in with a NEW New Super Mario Bros. for Wii!? Heh heh...

If this is real, then I'd say it's far from "complete." Looks like a rough demo.
This title would make an excellent addition to the Wii library though, especially if they stock it full of game modes, hidden features, leaderboard and multiplayer. One player better be able to control the duck like on the original, too! :P

If they did put out a finished version of this idea with lots of great features on WiiWare everybody and their mom would buy it. If you could SHOOT THE DOG in some mode, it would be the first digital download to go quadruple platinum. LOL
If some joker on the internet could have made that then Nintendo definitely can.

Easy way to tell it's fake: "An unlabeled disk on my father's desk" containing a "near-final version of Duck Hunt" wouldn't run on a regular Wii, not without some modifications. And it looks like he's not using a development unit to run it either(They're colored differently)
The graphics are also a fairly direct hint that it's a fake, due to their quality(Yes, it's 3D, but the animation is shitty in quality, as are the models) along with the sound and the apparent complete lack of the indicators on the bottom of the screen.
Also somewhat telling is the horrible video quality. For some reason, all "omg amazing new game owait it's a hoax" videos are made with a low-quality camera shaking all over the place. Same goes for "top secret new pictures from [magazine issue not yet published]".
Finally: The fact that it'd be on a disk to begin with is shady. In terms of actual space, this is a tiny, tiny game. Would be more likely as a minigame in a bigger game/compilation, or Wii Ware. I'm also missing the Wii booting up and the channel being selected as actual "proof" it's real.

HAH!!! Some people actually believe this? Okay...
1) He claims he found it in his dad's desk, unlabeled. Why would his dad just keep the game sitting in his desk?
2) If it was near finished, we'd probably hear about it already.
3) A near finished version ON A DISC?!? Do you people even know the process? They don't put it on a disc until it is finished. Once the disc is written to, they don't rewrite them.
4) Playing a partially done game without use of a dev kit? How?
5) Okay, let's bring this together. Dad for some odd reason takes home a copy of a game he was working on that for some reason has been burned onto a disc that would work on a Wii without any sort of developer's kit. Kid happens to stumble upon unlabeled disc and decides to stick it into the Wii (rather than guess that it may be a CD or DVD or something). Kid finds it is a game no one knows existed that is near complete.
Yeah, by the way, I keep the Loch Ness monster in my pool and Bigfoot is roaming my backyard as I type this.

If this is not a hoax, I would probably say that this is a demo, Part of a tutorial for developing Wii games.
Besides if the game is only what the video shows, I would NOT pay for it, unless it teaches me to make my own Wii games.
