Word has hit that Capcom's NES title Bionic Commando will be making its way onto the Xbox 360 and PS3 via the Xbox Live and PSN services, respectively. While this is favorable news for those that own those systems and like downloading retro titles, what about us Wii owners? Are we left out to dry?For the moment, it would seem that is the case. This report mentions nothing about the Virtual Console receiving the game. However, with all of the attention the new game is receiving, along with Nintendo's promise to keep games relatively unaltered on the Virtual Console, we wouldn't be surprised if the game were available for download soon enough.
We'll keep an eye out for confirmation, so stay tuned to Wii Fanboy for further information as it is released.

Simply classic. Takes me back to when i beat this a a kid. Jumped off that ledge or whatever and used the big shot gun to send a blast through the cockpit of what i believe was a helicopter. That map sucked though, and all that meaningless text to read.

I'm seriously hoping this shows up on the Virtual Console. The NES "Bionic Commando" is one of my all-time favorite games of *any* era. I still play it regularly on the Game Boy Advance. If they bring this and "Blaster Master" to the Wii, my life will be complete.

Are you sure it's the NES version and not the arcade version? I find it hard to believe Nintendo would license out NES games to Sony and Microsoft.
