This weekend will have many heroes. There will be the firefighter that saves a kitten from a tree. There will be the courteous driver who waves on another driver at a four-way stop. There will also be the middle-aged man who eats in his local diner alone, sad and contemplating suicide. How is he a hero? Well, he found his mashed potatoes to be too cold, but he didn't send them back. What does this all mean? It means that next week we'll all be playing No More Heroes. Yes, all of us will. If you don't pick the game up, we'll find you and [insert violent threat here] to you. In the meantime, however, there's still some time to kill this weekend.
So, what will you be playing?

Well my Sunday will be filled with the NFL's championship games, so my gaming will have to take a back seat. I can think of several players who will qualify as heroes if my Packers make it to the Super Bowl though.
Fortunately, I have plenty of games waiting for me when I find the time. I'd like to really sit down with Zack and Wiki after I gave it up a few weeks ago due to a particularly hard level.
I'll be renting NMH next weekend; I want to lay down the cash in support but I've never played Suda's games before.

Oh, definitely. Sunday is all football for me, too. I hope the Packers win, as well, so that Brett can get another ring and FINALLY RETIRE.
Also, because it's the funniest thing I've seen in a long time:

Nice post... Any sort of game playing will be fully taken by Super Swing Golf II. As will a large chunk of my spring, some of the summer, a bit of the fall, continuing into winter, until Super Swing Golf III comes out.
(Yes, I'm a heathen who has no love for brawl)

MLB Power Pros - have gotten into a baseball swing again and created a new exhibition team to fight my way through Season (really a 10-year franchise) mode
Tales of Symphonia - Missed this one somewhere along the way and have really enjoyed finding it now. Co-op battles are good.
...and while I'm interested to play/see No More Heros I have to admit, as a huge fan of the ocean, Endless Ocean is the only game I am planning to buy next week.

honestly...if it wasn't for your website, i wouldn't even know this game existed....same with most of the 3rd party releases. They might sell more if they advertised a little.

My Wii gaming consists of NHL 06 for the Gamecube.
On and off for the last four months.
I can't wait for this game to come out, whenever it reaches Pal territory.

Don't want to spoil anything for you, but you're in for some nice twists and reveals at the end of the game, not to mention some kick ass cut scenes.

To be honest I have a friend working at EB games who is the manager. I'm going to be pressuring him to break the street date, and if he fails to do so I'm going to go to Wal-Mart and pressure so newbie to break it.

Probably Mario Strikers, Guitar Hero, and possibly some Battalion Wars. More than likely a whole lotta Strikers. I don't even like soccer, but man do I love that game.

I'm definitely getting this game on launch day, even though this is one of those titles that will be unfairly sitting on the shelves for weeks before someone picks it up. It reminds me of Meteos: there is at least one used copy at every GameStop I visit, and it only costs $12! I don't understand people. Anyway, I just went to the bank to get some cash for this game, so I'm ready.

Hmm...if I play anything this weekend, it'll likely be:
Catz 2
Touch Detective 2
and
Viewtiful Joe, because I've had an itch to play it all week but haven't had a chance.

I will be bouncing back and forth between a few games over the weekend:
Super Mario Galaxy (only have 5 or 6 stars left to get)
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition (love this one even more than the GameCube version)
Geometry Wars: Galaxies
I think I will try and rent No More Heroes when it comes out...I tried 'Killer 7' and could not get into it. I may try again this weekend...I love the style of the game...just the shooting is what was killing me.

A few days ago I finally got star 242 in SMG so I'm done with that for game for awhile.
Yesterday I used a free rental coupon to get Battaltion Wars 2. Decent so far, although after playing SMG, dispatching a bunch of troops can get frustrating.
I want to pick up Marble Mania and Geometry Wars new when I have the chance.

Trudging my way through Ghost Squad - getting all the unlocks. Let's see, I average just under 2 levels per run through of the game. I'm at level 43 now heading to 99... So that means I only have to play through the whole game another... 28 TIMES?!?!
Hmmm. This may be my answer for many more WRUP's for a while...
Will probably rent No More Heroes to see if it's as good as it's been reviewed.

Mario Galaxy: Been playing it w/my girl, so we're only at 60 something stars.
Lego Star Wars (the Complete Saga): Wow. This just may be the most underated game of all time. Brilliant! (especially since I had never played any of them until I got this one).
Someday, I'd like to finally start my Trauma Center 2, as the first one was one of the most unique and challenging games I have ever played.
Oh, and football all day Sunday. I'm hoping for sake of all the Packers fans that they do not make it to the Super Bowl. After all, who wants to see their team get raped by the Patriots in the biggest game of the year?

It'd be a hell of a lot better Super Bowl than the Giants v Patriots.
Even standing back from my Packers fan-frenzy, I think the Pack stand a great chance of stopping the perfect season. They can sustain long drives or score quickly. They have the weapons to go tit-for-tat offensively. And they have strong, shut-down corners that could knock Moss and Welker into the bleachers. Plus, how could you deny the media frenzy that would be Favre versus Brady? That's a Super Bowl matchup for the ages there.

Also going to be trying San Andreas Widescreen. Sorry but that's still my favorite game of all time.

I loved this post! Heroes (few left) is great.
So anyways, I actually plan on playing my Wii for like the third time since Christmas. Hopefully, I could rack up some stars on Mario. Maybe even open Battallion Wars II. I have multiple games I haven't even played a single time yet. Hopefully I could work on those a bit this weekend.

I actually hope it is the Packers... in fact I'd bank on it. And it would be one hell of a battle. That's exactly why I was getting in some early trash talk. I'm actually a long time Favre fan. But I am first and foremost a Pats fan. Here's to hoping for one hell of a Pats vs Packers battle. Cheers and good luck to both teams! And hooray beam katanas!
