Apparently, this is all speculation, though, as a Nintendo rep told Eurogamer that these tidbits of info are nothing more than rumors. "Nintendo has not announced any further information on Mario Kart," the rep said. "We've spoken to the magazine and it's just pure rumour and speculation on their part." So while Nintendo shoots down all of this info, you can still be sure in betting on the track list being a mixture of older tracks, with some new ones sprinkled in for good measure. We'll just all have to make our own guess as to how many there will be.

Man, I hope they take snaking out of the equation. I hated it in the DS version, it killed my thumb. But if you didn't snake, some punk kid would own your ass. Please drop the snaking Nintendo!

I've got nothing against turn boosts, I just hate the constant turn boost technique known as snaking. Play Double Dash and try to snake through the courses. It can't be done easily. Now go play Kart DS online. If you don't snake you're effed. It was kinda broken.
Don't take out the turn boosts, just take out snaking.

*shudder* I HATE SNAKERS!!! There just a bunch of douches who can't stand the thougth of *gasp* ACTUALLY LOSING A MATCH!!!! I've never snaked, and don't plan on starting to. I was looking forward to Mario Kart Wii as a way to play online against people with balls, but if snaking is BLATANTLY known and allowed by Ninty, then they can just forget it. I've always wanted to use Boo, though. And 12 player online sounds fun. Snaking is the shit in the fan for me.

If those idiots at Nintendo leave in that BS snaking the game is going to SUCK for online, the same way the DS version does.
However, I know snaking has a following, and that is fine.
Make it part of the choices for online. Allow for games to be run with and WITHOUT snaking.
Make it an OPTION Nintendo. Quit pissing off all us people who like to actually play the game as it was intended.
