Unless you haven't really been paying attention, the inclusion of Ness in Super Smash Bros. Brawl is going to come as news to you. You might even see this as a spoiler, and if that is the case we apologize. But we're pretty sure most of you would like to know how Ness stacks up against Lucas. Well, hit up the gallery below for side-by-side comparisons of their move sets.
And, if you want to know how to unlock Ness, hit up the "Read" link below. We don't want to take the chance of spoiling anything else for you.

From this point on, Dojo updates should be treated as spoilers. This may seem obvious for some people, but a lot actually are still assuming Lucas replaced Ness.

How is this a spoiler? Why are people assuming Lucas replaced Ness? Sounds like if they know about Lucas being in the game they're already spoiling themselves and since Ness was in previous Smash Bros why not assume he's returning?
I swear, this is ridiculous. Nobody is cryin because they heard the Joker will be in the next Batman movie...

Nevermind, I just realized that he's supposed to be "hidden."

Until they saw this update or seen the intro video.
Anyway, please, keep the Dojo updates as spoilers now.

If anything, the spoilers should not be revealed here on the site. I even deleted the Dojo bookmark that way a lot of the hidden material will not be fully revealed until I play through the game after I get it.

I totally agree. I'll probably check the Dojo now and then out of sheer curiousity, but I'm going to try to protect my virgin eyes.
And yeah, if they say any more updates here, LABEL SPOILERS. People can go past the break to see them. Don't show us. kthnxbai!

Actually, I'm still subscribed to the Dojo's RSS feed and they put their titles now as "???" and on the front page of the site theres a question mark icon and the "???" for the title. And if you click on it, a popup appears warning of spoilers w/ a yes/no to click through.

Well, with all of the info on the game out there, I just assumed that everyone knew about Ness. I'll make sure to take extra special care in the future.
Thanks!

Thanks for understanding. Personally, I knew about Ness, but I have friends avoiding spoilers like the plague, and I am fairly certain a good portion of them don't know about Ness. But yes, thanks.

Darnit, I knew there was a huge possibility that Ness would return, but I would have rather been like: "Oh, look at that, Ness is back." while I was unlocking things in the game rather than "Oh hey guys, expect Ness to come back."...
:/ I understand where you're coming from, but a spoiler is a spoiler.

Btw, the Dojo is still safe to go, since the first page shows the new update only as "???????", and when you click a major spoiling alert comes.
I wonder if there are some "non-spoilers" alerts left for then to do? (besides sakurai saying he is happy that the game sold 57 gazidillions units in Japan)

SPOILERS!!!
The Dojo is designed very carefully so people without the game can still view the website without seeing the secret characters, levels, etc.
So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT SHOW SECRETS ON THE MAIN PAGE!!!
Thank you NintendoWiiFanboy.com

Personally, i don't care about teh spoilerz much after the veritable Spoiler Rape we were all subjected to a few days ago, however, i won't be checking up on how to unlock any of them until it launches over here, then i'll collect them all on a little list, and the second thing i'll do on that game (after testing out Classic mode and trying on all the characters in a vs match) is plough through Subspace Emissary, then get all the characters not tied to that

Any chance we could avoid the spoilers? The Dojo makes a point of labeling the secret characters' entries so we have fair warning, and personally I'd like to hold off on revealing said secrets until I get to play the game. Maybe keep all the spoiler content hidden "past the break", so it doesn't show a gigantic picture of Ness in the RSS feed. If that's too much to ask, I'll just have to stop reading Wii Fanboy for awhile, which makes me sad!

How is this a spoiler? He was in the past 2 games so he's going to be back again, everyone should know that.

I'm deleting my RSS feed for Wii Fanboy from my Yahoo page and I'm not going to visit this site anymore until I get Smash Bros. on March 9th. No offense to the site. I just don't want to get too spoiled about Smash Bros. Brawl. This update is hardly a spoiler but I'm pretty sure SSBB's going to get more spoiled around here.

OMFG... why does it matter if we find out who is in the game? I know everything about the game. Is this spoiling my lust for the game? Absol-flubbing-lutely not. In fact, now that I know these characters are in the game, I want it MORE. Grow up, people.

"I know everything about the game."
Good for you, but not everyone does.

That's irrelevant. You see, the point I'm trying to make is: Worrying about spoilers in a cross-franchise fighting game is about as pointless as trying to put a Gamecube disc into a PS2. You can try to make a valid reason, but it ends up being a stupid attempt altogether.

How about: You like surprises.
Of course, if you deny that's a valid reason: consider yourself one of the millions of people out there who many of us think one simple thing- you're all spoiled/you're a coward (depending on the situation).
But if you do consider that a valid reason, then disregard the above. :P

Maybe I like subscribing to the intended presentation of the content creator? If I'm excited about an upcoming book or movie, I don't go around looking for the secret ending. I read the book, I watch the movie, and I take it all in as it's supposed to be taken. I realize this sounds a little naive, since the information has already worked its way across the Web, but I'd prefer to keep away from it as long as I'm able. I have friends claiming to not go online until its release; I don't plan on taking it that far, but I've been anticipating this game for years, and want to get that little burst of joy from discovering something on my own while playing.
It's unfortunate that you equate a desire to experience a game unspoiled with a lack of maturity.

revealing characters is not a surprise anymore, thats why I consider the smash bros website a failure, it wasted too much time when it could have revealed characters. also, having both ness and lucas really sucks, they could have done so much more with the roster than they did
