Remember that group of guys who tried to beat four Zelda games in forty-eight hours? They've dubbed themselves Four48, and have done quite a few marathon gaming sessions in order to raise money for charity. Now they're at it again, it seems, but this time, they're not just racing against the clock. The Four48 crew is competing against seven other teams this weekend to see who will be the first to complete Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition. The only thing at stake, besides gamer pride, of course, is a copy of No More Heroes that will go to the winning team.
They'll be taking donations as per usual, which will be given to Child's Play. They're also webcasting the event, so if you find yourself with little to do this weekend, it might be worth checking out.

This is pretty cool. Gratz to Wali Boyz, they already won.

The real contest is who can take the longest to beat it. It's an incredibly short game.

ya, I remember beating this game in just under a day. they need to find a longer/more challenging game.

48 hours? I beat it in 15 on my first try, and I was going extremely slow and cautious. In that time you can beat the game on Normal & Professional, and all the bonus content.

The 48 hours was their goal for the 4 Zeldas. This is a fastest-through contest, so they'll probably get it in under 8 hours.

Speaking as someone who's married, has a kid and also works full time, it took me a few weeks playing here & there - obviously it becomes a lot easier the next time, and then even easier when you've got unlimited ammo in the Chicago Typewriter and unlimited rockets too.
It's actually quite satisfying to blow away an entire village of zombies with a couple of rockets... :)

They should do Resident Evil 1-4 in 48 Hours. Or even 0-4 in 48 Hours.

My thinking exactly. Surely their donations tick in faster when they're all haggard from playing for 30+ hours straight? Right?

I wish more people would recognize Nougie and Nathan, the grandfathers of Resident Evil challenges.
