My husband realizes that video games are my first love. He was never really into games before he met me, but we played Wii Play and Link's Crossbow Training for a few hours last night. :P

My wife plays Wii Sports, Wii Play and Mario Party, sometimes even without me. My brother will play any game with me when he comes over. My parents have played Wii Sports bowling with us.

Back when I had a girlfriend, we would play any multiplayer game available. Hell I remember going through the co-op mode of Perfect Dark with her.

I have to stay up really late if i want to play my games like Meadal of Honor, the wife loves Boogie, and the kids are gamecube and vc fans, Mario Party and Wii sports are the only ones we play together, that may change once BRAWL is added to our collection.

My wife is random in the games she likes. She likes the quick mini games like Rayman, Mario and Sonic, but then she also loves playing Mario Galaxy co-op with me. Although she never wants to be Mario.
She loves FF games, but when I tried to get her interested in Z:TP, she wouldnt play. Although she loves helping me solve puzzles in games like Zelda.

That's a good point, my wife loved to help me solve puzzles in TP. She was more sad than me when I beat it.

My wife will play the occasional game. She doesn't play all the time but when she finds a game she really likes she gets almost obsessive about it.
I don't get near enough time to play games. I've had Super Mario Galaxy for the past three months but haven't even played it because I'm trying to finish Twilight Princess first. I hate being "responsible" :(
On another note my father who never touched a video game the entire time I was growing up now wants a Wii after playing Wii Sports.

I've gotten everyone, regardless of age, to play Wii Sports, but other than that, the only multiplayer game I have is Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, which is a lot of fun with multiple people. My younger brother mostly just plays VC games, SM Galaxy and Mercury Meltdown Revolution.

Pretty much it's just me (18) and my younger brother(16) who play the Wii. We've gotten our dad to make a Mii of himself, and both him and my mom briefly touched Wii Sports, but that's about the extent of it. My dad stopped being interested in video games after they came to home consoles. He's terrifyingly good at the old cabinet style Ms. Pac-Man though.

My wife likes playing some games (Sonic, Mario Party, Big Brain Academy, Guitar Hero, etc) and likes watching me play others (Zelda TP, Z&W, Mario Galaxy), and my 3 yr old daughter LOVES to watch us play games, and play the few that she is able to.

I've found that Wii has largely replaced TV as a time-filler -- what will happen when the writers' strike finally ends, I don't know. I suspect I'll just be cutting way down on the TV shows I watch (down to House and not a lot else, probably).
My wife plays Wii Sports Bowling and Karaoke Revolution: if we had spare cash I'd probably buy her the new American Idol version that's coming out today. My three-year-old loves to watch me play Ratatouille (and, on the PC, Peggle!) -- at some point I'll try to teach him to use a controller and play something for himself. (Having trouble teaching him to even use a mouse at the moment...)

My fiancee (not a live-in, though she's over at my house hanging out with 'the guys' /all/ the time) LOVES GHIII, and is a Wii Sports fanatic. She's not big into long story games though, as her attention span won't keep her occupied with running from point A to point B in games like Zelda. We're looking fowards to Wii Fit tho, and I think I'll be able to get her hooked on Brawl once that comes out.

Mercury Meltdown Revolution is a fun, $20 game that doesn't use buttons. Just a matter of tilting the controller. Might be worth teaching a youngin'.

SMB, SMB3 and Bubble Bobble are VC favorites of the wife and I. Wii sports gives a range of uses for us:
doubles tennis v. AI opponents = "co-op" fun
bowling = friendly competition
boxing = conflict resolution :)
The kids (10 mos. and "in-the-oven") don't play..... yet.
Solo play time is at most one night a week and usually is Halo 3 until I get more games for the Wii.

Jack Thompson would have ended that with, "we're also thinking about killing our parents, buying some guns to take to school and then rape and murder or classmates. (or murder then rape, necrophilia = bonus points).

M wife is super cool when it comes to playing video games. We totally rocked out on GHIII for about nine hours on Sunday. Needless to say, she can kick my butt at it.

My wife is down for most co-op games on the Wii and VC, and that's usually how we spend our gaming time. I got her to start Twilight Princess and she's through the first 2 castles and is starting to enjoy it a lot more after I gave her some pointers (as this is her first Zelda game, hell, I think it's her first adventure game...she was solely a platform gamer before we bought the Wii).
So most of our gaming is done together, which is why I'd love it if more games incorporated a co-op feature (along the lines of SMG--that way both of us could play simultaneously).

The Wii is mostly played by me and my son, it's our father-son quality time. Got Zack & Wiki, Namco Museum Remix, SMG, Paper Mario, WarioWare and Wii Sports to play with him, I let him play the Wii by himself but he usually asks permission and he plays about less than an hour, he gets bored easily. When the kids are in bed or not around then I play RE4 by myself. Wife's a casual gamer and plays Wii Sports with me once in a while, same goes with my in-laws.

Well, Im really the only gamer in the house...my sister plays rarely on her DS and my stepsister plays rarely too. My other stepsister plays on the PS2 when she comes over and my mom plays very rarely where my stepdad doesnt play games at all.

My fiancée and I are both big gamers, although we never play head to head as such which limits the choice when it comes to multiplayer, although that seems to be shifting on the Wii. I recall spending plenty of hours on TimeSplitters 2 a while ago now. And we are still playing Lego Star Wars on the Wii despite having got it to 100% once already (game completion is the exception in this house!) She also likes to be the 'spotter' when we are playing solo games such as Zelda and Metroid, picking up on a lot of things I miss.
As a lover of Adventure games on the PC and anything point and click I was glad to see the new CSI is coming to Wii.. they might be a little substandard games overall but they remind us of the old days! (We're both turning 34 this year, been together for 10 years)

I'm trying not to let my wife fall into the "I like the bowling, can't we just play the bowling?" thing by countering with "That'd make it a $300 bowling game, do you like the bowling that much?"
We rented Mario Galaxy and I was surprised when she said to buy it. I'm hoping to find games that my 5 and 3yr olds can participate in, one form or another, and Galaxy's "player 2 hangs out and collects stars" seems to work well.
I just saw Endless Ocean, that looks like something that'd be great for the kids. We don't need it to be competitive, I'd rather have something where pretty much whatever they do results in something positive, so they can learn how to interact with it.
