After a run of three weeks with only one title, this Friday sees two Sega properties up for the taking on the PAL Virtual Console. The first, 2D fighter Eternal Champions, should only concern the most ardent supporters of the company.Indeed, if our bastardization of "VC Friday" tells you anything, it's that this is the week of Phantasy Star II. Sega's RPG is rightfully a huge favorite amongst the Fanboy staff, and it should be high on your list as well. For 800 Wii points, on a machine with no notable RPGs to call its own, it's a pretty damn essential addition to your Virtual Console library.
- Eternal Champions -- Mega Drive -- 800 Wii points
- Phantasy Star II -- Mega Drive -- 800 Wii points

I've only played Phantasy Star Online. Can I get big beefy mags?

Sad. America is last to get it. What am I to do with my unused 800 Wii Points? I started PSII and PSIV, but never finished them, so I'm hoping to get a chance with the VC.
And that's a negatory on the mags, btw. They were introduced with PSO.

Ps1 on SMS was amazing except it had 2 issues:
too much time spent on getting mandatory gold and exp to continue on with the game
very hard to navigate in the last few areas
Phantasy Star 2 was good for its time but its really hard to get into now because it feels a lot more dated compared to the other 16bit rpgs.
Ps3 was terrible but looked nice.
Ps4 was really good in every way!
Any good rpg is welcomed to be on VC but the best ones don't seem to be coming and when one does, north america seems to be the last to get it if we even do.
I'm pretty let down with VC lately considering the amount of amazing games that could be on it but aren't.
