The return of the cheap-as-hell fan favorite Falco in Brawl is hardly the greatest gaming surprise of the year. Accessible after players have fought 50 brawls, cleared the 100-Man Brawl, or recruited Falco in The Subspace Emissary, the names of his maneuvers in Brawl -- Blaster, Falco Phantasm, and Fire Bird -- will be comfortingly familiar to Melee veterans.
He's packing the odd new move, however, most noticeably a "spinning 100-slash attack," and a "smash attack" that "looks like it could take an ear off!!" We guess Sakurai needed to distinguish him from Fox somehow.

By the bye, it's 'or', not 'and' in terms of needing to unlock him. I.E., you can fight 50 matches, OR finish the 100 Man battle, OR recruit him in SSE. You only need to do one such thing, then a quick battle with him, then he's unlocked, not all three of them.

I wonder if online plays count toward your match total? I don't remember seeing anything like that on the Dojo. If not, I have a feeling I'll be unlocking a lot of the characters via Subspace Emissary.
Playing hundreds of matches of Smash Bros was much easier when I was in college and lived in the dorms, because the game would be played even if I was in classes.

Seriously, who didn't already know Falco was in Brawl? WHO?! Anyways, I always loved using him, but I never really thought of him as cheap. None of my friends ever really took advantage of his blaster, and whenver they did, a Falcon Punch would set them straight. anyways, I'll probably unlock most characters via SSE too. Just the easiest way. But how do you "recruit" them? Is it just an automatic thing, or do you have to persuade them to join you, or do you have to fight them?
