GDC08: Okami on Wii looks great in 480p
For those of you looking forward to the Okami installment on Wii (see: the entire Wii Fanboy staff), then you'll want to feast your eyes on these beautiful direct-feed shots of the game being run in 480p. After going through and checking them out for ourselves, we're dying to get our hands on the game.

I've been getting lots of recommendations to checkout Okami, and 480 is definitely great, but either the Wii or my TV is having problems running at 480p. You'd think that 480i would be fine, but it's noticeable when everything moving becomes blurred.

It seemed to me that the Screen Burn-in Reducer caused those blurs and ghost shapes when i was using my old NTSC set
Get rid of that, and it should work

Shows how the beauty of cel-shaded graphics really did peak last generation, you can't make that look too much better

That's not true. Have you ever seen Disney Movies in HD? They look way better than in Standard def. I think cel shaded games can really look fantastic in High Definition in an even more dramatic way. Also there is room of improvement with technical things, such as aliasing. I think it will probably get as good as it is going to get in this generation, but it hasn't yet.
