Gone are the days when racing with speed was the sport of gentlemen who would kindly wave over merging motorists and never dare dream of taking their hands away from the 2 and 10 positions. Instead, people now speed race for money ... or darker reasons. For money.
Look, we dig the new car and we'll hold our breath on the ridiculous "stuntin' it up" gameplay stuff we're probably looking at, but what is the deal with the monotone, Colbert-like narrator (sans all of the intended wackiness)? That we just can't abide by.
[Thanks, Chris!]

I remember playing the Speed Racer game on the Super NES, vaguely. If I remember correctly, that game was one of the hardest SNES games I've played. I was probably less than 10 years old at the time (born in '87, and I have no idea when it came out), so maybe it was just because I was younger and still inexperienced in anything outside what I own. I'm lookin' forward to the movie though.

Ahh, a video game based on a live action movie which is itself based on a classic Japanese anime.
Expectations = abyssmal. For both.

Jack from Lost? I'm sorry, but he'll always be Charlie from Party of Five to me!

I just thought it sounded like a dry and humorless Colbert. We're Wii Fanboy, not Guessing Celebrity Voice Work in Game Trailers Fanboy.

Colbert is a dumb Republican. He tries to be funny but that is an epic fail.

That's what I love best about Colbert. He's so good, that even after all this time, he can still convince people that it isn't an act.

I'm sorry but that seemed slow compared to F-Zero and it seemed like a rip off of it as well. so far F-Zero GX is the best raceing game ever IMHO.

Anyhoo, that trailer doesn't appeal to me at all. And sometimes the music is louder than the voiceover dude, which is a bit unprofessional no?

F-Zero games have always been a bit difficult for me :( But they've always been awesome. But MK are the best racers.
And that voice sounds ALOT like Jack from lost.
