Well, the answer is, no. The new Gundam game for the PS2 managed to end Brawl's reign, and end it convincingly. In fact, Smash barely stayed in second, with Wii Fit being right up the fighter's grill.
The Wii itself also lost the top spot last week, overtaken by the PSP in hardware for the first time since Brawl's release. Aside from those major changes, though, everything looks to be what we'd expect, with Winning Eleven and Family Ski continuing to champion the cause for third parties.

Sheesh. Not only is it Gundam, it's another one of those Musou titles, too. Apparently to Japanese gamers, Gundam + Dynasty Warriors = sweet, sweet bliss. Can't say I share the sentiment..

Wow Galaxy didn't make the list. That is shocking. Also why did the PSP take tops over the DS and Wii I didn't see any major new game releases but I could have missed something.

The PSP (I think) topped both the Wii and the DS because the Mint Green PSP Slim released in Japan last week. That's probably why it sold so well, despite the lack of software in the top of the charts.

360 game on the list? That means almost every 360 owner in Japan must have bought it. (Note: This is a joke as there are just slightly a few more 360 owners than that...Not sure why though)

Yep, every once and a while a 360 game pops up, but usually they don't stick around for too long. Bioshock, for example, was in the top ten in last week's chart, and didn't even make the top fifty in this week's.
Idolm@ster started out better than Bioshock, though, and is definitely the type of game that's more appealing to Japanese gamers, so it might have a chance to hang in there a bit longer.

I'm guessing that almost every person in Japan bought Brawl on launch day and now sales are dropping because everyone already has it.
