Mushroom Men, if you'll excuse the terrible pun, is beginning to grow on us. We're ready for another platformer after, you know, and Red Fly's plant-based romp looks like it could keep us occupied. There's a quaint, almost eerie vibe to the game, with a Fifties B-movie tone to most of what it does.
In the trailer above -- the first we've seen of the game in some time -- we get a look at some combat (against common garden beasties, such as ants and rabbits), as well as our fungal hero flexing his magical "spore-based powers."

That actually looks to be interesting to say the least. I guess I will have something to look forward to in a few months but I will need more videos and some reviews before I go jumping into a game that may only provide a day or two of entertainment.

The next great game most of the "serious" gamers will never play?
As I read somewhere else, the name reeks of shovelware.
I like what I've seen so far, especially the platforming.

Is it just me or do the graphics look really good?

The graphics look pretty good yeah.
The game also looks pretty good....Just worried of a sorta slow pace and not enough to do at times.....
I can see myself picking this up for the right price....

If the game has multiplayer, I will probably pick it up. But otherwise, it does look to move fairly slow.
Also, am I the only one who is reminded of the Force Unleashed by the "spore-based powers?" Maybe we should call them the Sporce.

The first video I saw a couple weeks ago made this game look pretty uninteresting and plain graphics, but this video makes it look a lot better.

Maybe I haven't given it enough of a chance since a lot of people seem to have more positive reactions, but it seemed to me to be fairly entertaining but at the same time combining a lot of the aspects of old PS2 and GCN games that I really didn't like.
