BOOM BLOX boxart ensures the game's success

What's a genius marketing strategy for EA's upcoming puzzle game,
BOOM BLOX? Putting Steven Spielberg's name on the box, of course. Casual gamers have no doubt heard of Spielberg (he's the guy who did that jewel thief movie, right?), and will flock to this video game box that so shamelessly flaunts his name. Brilliant move, EA.
We're actually surprised that they didn't make Spielberg's name
bigger. The thin white text kind of gets swallowed up in the loudness of the box. Maybe they should have put "Steven Spielberg" in big letters and "BOOM BLOX" in small text, to be safe.
The boxart is quite eye catching (although -- dare we say it -- not exactly nice looking), and will certainly help the game to rack up some big numbers. It looks like EA has already won the sales war before it even began.

I'm looking forward to this game... the physics puzzles look like fun. The ability to create you're own formations could be good... oh and the head tracking easter egg... could be one to look out for...

The box art is eye catching....
but it should be as you mentioned...with SS in massive letters. It would attract the casuals which is it's main audience....

I JUST WON A COPY! I thought that newsletter contest would be bogus or something but EA sent me an email asking for my shipping info and congratulating me for being one of the lucky winners! I love free stuff...

AYE!!! Well, except for Mario Kart Wii. And Okami. And any other good game coming out for the Wii (I can't remeber some others I like right now, shamefully enough) but if I could only buy one game this year, it would hands down be brawl!

I'm buying this game based solely upon my fond memories of "1941". Granted, I was twelve years old at the time...
Kidding aside, this game looks like it might actually be fun!

Gross... they'd have been better off just putting that gorilla picture on the cover with a white background.

Was that the one with John Malkovich in it?

This reminds me of Steven Spielberg presents Animaniacs, Steven Spielberg presents Pinky & The Brain, Steven Spielberg presents Freakazoid, and Earthworm Jim... not presented by Steven Spielberg.
